My advice on all the noise around Russia at the moment would be keep calm and listen to the Brits. Why? ⬇️ 1. We have the best intelligence agencies in the world. 2. Any major movement of troops or military equipment by an adversary is difficult to conceal. 3. The indicators and warnings usually build up over weeks. However, I hope: 1. That the Government is taking readiness very seriously. 2. We are attempting to track elite drone Units and equipment. Little Green Men in 2014 will turn to Little Green Drones in 2026/27. 3. We are working in coordination with Joint Expeditionary Forces Allies to ensure our posture and potential response is aligned. 4. That any options have been briefed to the SofS and primed.

Przykładem dziś ISW wypuścił analizę dokładnie to przewidującą. A będzie tyko gorzej.

There are escalating warnings from Poland that Russia is preparing to widen its war against Ukraine, with "accidental" missile and drone strikes on NATO territory. Such a move - Russia falsely claiming air strikes that hit NATO allies happened by accident - would be designed to create a dilemma around whether or not the alliance agrees to trigger an Article 5 fight back. Either way, it would surely require the UK to be part of any response - collective or otherwise... apnews.com/article/poland-ru…

The First Sea Lord argued that Britain’s national survival had always depended on its Navy. He said: “Churchill attached such significance to the Atlantic because he understood something important. The sea is not peripheral to Britain – it is existential. “Sea power not only sustained us during the war. It arguably saved us. Lose the war at sea and you lose the war. That was the warning of Admiral Pound, the first sea lord of the day, and it remains true now. “If we are to prevail in the Atlantic again, we must strengthen our warfighting readiness and rediscover what it means to be a maritime nation.” telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/09…

One for @CommonsDefence/@LordsIRCom to get stuck into. If the underpinning of Britain’s ability to resist coercion/aggression by any other state - its nuclear arsenal - needs extra in-year resources, that’s a grand-strategic problem for Cabinet to send to @hmtreasury’s door. 1/2
With a swathe of @BritishArmy training cancelled (despite growing threats), @FTusa284 @DefenceEye_news reveals more about why: "Defence Eye has been told by several good sources that the overall in-year cut to the British Army’s budget is between £1.2-1.5bn – note that this is in-year, so cash has been cut with immediate effect." Francis - who is always very well informed - says the money has been needed effectively to help bail out the Defence Nuclear programme yet again. He says GCAP costs are also a factor. Since its foundation in 1824 the bravery of Royal National Lifeboat Institution volunteers has saved more than 146,700 lives at sea. Hundreds of those volunteers have died attempting to save others. They are the best of us. Any person or organisation questioning their actions or loyalty to this country should be corrected and ostracised. Anyone can drown, but no one should. rnli.org/support-us

“Dutch use of one-way attack drones to destroy the ROYAL JAMES shows that major surface combatants are obsolete, that Britain is finished as a significant naval power, and that future maritime contests will be determined by uncrewed vessels” - Some breathless pundit, 8 June 1672

I’m a bit out of the loop with the news. What exactly has Starmer done that he has to resign? It can’t just be because some people don’t like him because that’s true of every prime minister ever.

Britain spent a decade choosing to be smaller in the world. Right now the rules on communications, energy and trade are being rewritten. By China. By Russia. By countries that take their own security seriously. We need to be at that table. That's a choice we must make. Strong countries get cheap energy. Weak countries pay whatever the strong ones decide.

We owe those who serve the UK the kit to do the job and the loyalty to stand by them when it's done. We are failing on both. I’ve spent my whole time in government making that case. Number 10 will not listen, so I am resigning as Minister for the Armed Forces. Letter to the PM below.🫡🫡🫡⬇️⬇️

Lieutenant Frank Bethune objected when he was told to hold the Spoil Bank (south of Ypres) on 13 March 1918. He said it was ‘useless death trap’ but he was overruled. So, his whole section volunteered to join him. He issued each man with the following order: 1/3

Essential aid delivered from the sky. Members of the Parachute Regiment parachute on to the remote island of Tristan da Cunha. They mark a drop zone then call in an air drop of essential medical supplies from the RAF. 1000s of miles away in the middle of the Atlantic…only they could do it…to the Parachute Regiment we salute you! 🫡🫡

That’s cool!
UK specialist paratroopers and military clinicians have carried out a daring parachute operation to deliver critical medical support to Tristan da Cunha – Britain’s most remote inhabited Overseas Territory – after a suspected case of Hantavirus was identified on the island.
