#NASA released a chilling audio clip of a supermassive black hole located 250 million light-years away.
We have known for decades that space isn’t soundless (Einstein predicted this).
Black holes don't emit a sound that can be recorded. However, sound waves, a compression... 1/

Texas just passed a bill making it a crime for men to perform in public while wearing makeup… have they thought this through? I mean, outdoor concerts, parades, circuses?

Interesting comparison to the UK, where this sort of behaviour would almost certainly result in the Defendant being summoned back to court to explain how this is not an attempt to intimidate the judge and/or contempt of court. – at Tyttenhanger, East

Very good and clear as usual. Now, if we can accept this baseline, rather than pretending it away, we could think of what to do about it.

Oh dear. @Ofwat have since 1991 had the ability to fine water companies up to 10% of their annual turnover.
Guess how many times they've excised that power in 30 years?
What's the point of a sanction if the regulator has neither the desire, determination or ambition to use it.
We welcome the government's announcement that water companies will face unlimited civil fines for polluting our rivers and seas and that these will be ring-fenced and reinvested into improving our water quality. 💧
Another #CampaignWin for our water manifesto.
