6 April 1944 | The Gestapo under the direction of SS-Hauptsturmführer Klaus Barbie raided the Jewish orphanage in French town of #Izieu. 44 children and their 7 educators were taken to #Drancy & later deported to #Auschwitz. Only one person survived.

As you may be aware #foodbank usage is increasing across the country.
Our data shows yr to March 23 no. of foodbank vouchers redeemed by people in the St Albans area rose by 25%.
In 2002/3 we've issued 2.5x as many food parcels as year pre-pandemic.

Oh dear. @Ofwat have since 1991 had the ability to fine water companies up to 10% of their annual turnover.
Guess how many times they've excised that power in 30 years?
What's the point of a sanction if the regulator has neither the desire, determination or ambition to use it.
We welcome the government's announcement that water companies will face unlimited civil fines for polluting our rivers and seas and that these will be ring-fenced and reinvested into improving our water quality. 💧

Back of my Polling Card for local elections. For 1st time, photo ID is required. Card gives many options for elderly or those with disability. None, NONE, for younger or student voters. The policy is simply biased against younger voters, designed to suppress their vote.
