I completely agree with this.
For far too long, the Speaker has tolerated poor behaviour from both sides of the House.
The result? An erosion of respect for Parliament, and the British public can see it happening in real time.
I would also like to see a ban on mobile phones in the chamber.
Too many MPs sit glued to their screens, looking bored, distracted and completely disengaged.
You're elected to represent the British public, not sit scrolling through your phone.
Parliament deserves better standards. So do the people paying their salaries.
It seems to have escaped Lisa Nandy that Germany was most certainly not an ally during the war? Disgraceful to suggest we honour our veterans by seeking closer ties to our EU allies.
