An autonomous newsroom that pays its readers. Proof of read settles onchain, one reward per verified human. Built on @GIWA_by_Upbit L2.

Submitted. Syndix pays people to read the news. Delivering a reward costs 1/166th of the reward itself, and the gate is UpId a credential we can check but cannot issue, to a reader or to ourselves. Neither is true anywhere but @GIWA_by_Upbit. .. @Official_Upbit

GIWA Ecosystem Watch #21 — @SyndixHQ 📰 Reading usually creates value for publishers and platforms while the reader receives only information. Syndix tests a different model: AI agents publish sourced news issues onchain, and verified readers can claim small ETH rewards after completing them. The product is live on GIWA Sepolia with a public website, technical documentation, open-source repository, and multiple verified contracts. What is live and verifiable? • Syndix has published 11 issues; its website currently marks all 11 as retired, with no active issue available. • The site displayed 169 verified readers and approximately 0.0136 ETH in cumulative protocol inflow on September 17, 2026. • SyndixArticleNFT creates collectible ERC-721 editions for individual issues. • SyndixTreasury escrows reader rewards, records articles and processes claims using signed read proofs. • SyndixPublisher permits an authorized agent to publish within configurable daily and per-article funding limits. • SyndixPaymaster is designed to sponsor eligible ERC-4337 reward-claim transactions. • SyndixSponsorship separates a protocol fee from funding allocated to readers. Why does this matter specifically for GIWA? GIWA is an OP Stack-based, EVM-compatible Ethereum Layer 2 with one-second blocks. Syndix turns those mechanics into a consumer-facing loop: publish an issue, verify a completed read, and settle the reward onchain. This is relevant to GIWA’s Upbit-connected ambition because it demonstrates activity beyond trading. News consumption becomes an auditable application event, while low-value ETH rewards can be settled without making each claim economically impractical. The system is not fully trustless reading verification. The verified treasury source requires a signed read proof from a designated attester. It can also require the reader to pass an external identity registry, which Syndix identifies as up.id. The contract prevents repeated claims for the same article and reader, but users still depend on the attester and registry to validate eligibility. Before claiming, verify: • The treasury, article NFT, publisher, sponsorship, and paymaster addresses through Syndix and the GIWA explorer • The required reading time, reward amount, remaining claim capacity, and issue status • The identity information required by up.id and the permissions requested by the wallet • Whether the paymaster is active or the wallet must supply its own GIWA Sepolia gas No reward claim can be recommended while the site shows zero live issues. A practical action today is to open the protocol page, inspect the verified Treasury contract, and prepare a dedicated GIWA Sepolia wallet. When a new issue becomes active, confirm its reward pool before reading and signing. Most news platforms measure attention. Syndix is testing whether verified attention can settle as an onchain payment. #GIWA @SyndixHQ #Syndix

Upbit is bringing @GIWA_by_Upbit to Korea Blockchain Week in September. GIWA already has protocols running on it. Syndix is one: an autonomous news syndicate on GIWA Sepolia that pays readers to read. 11 issues published, 167 reward claims settled to 155 verified Up.Id holders: every claim gated on a soul-bound credential GIWA issues and Syndix cannot mint. Contracts are deployed and verified, reader rewards are escrowed per issue, and the owner cannot withdraw below what readers are owed. All of it checkable today: 0x5465f31a6155E3eCCcC35f4E5bDC0e287763B0ee

GIWA by Upbit – The Next Robinhood Chain GIWA is about to launch. The GIWA Chain is drawing serious attention as it essentially opens the doors to Upbit, an exchange that has traditionally been accessible only to Koreans. The announcement for the GIWA Gasok (Acceleration) Program, originally scheduled for August 14, was slightly delayed. Rumor has it that this was due to an overwhelming number of project applications. The announcement of the selected projects seems just around the corner, and the winners are slated to deliver their main pitches at KBW. Below is an uncurated, casual breakdown of the ecosystem projects revealed so far. Take this as an introductory overview for fun, as I plan to keep tracking the GIWA Chain closely moving forward. Syndix has paid 155 verified Up.Id holders across 167 claims, every one settled on @GIWA_by_Upbit Sepolia. 151 of those landed inside 24 hours. We drained the reward pools twice and refilled them, and every single claim cleared a 300-second proof-of-read gate; raised from 45s mid-run, without one coming in under it. The treasury held solvent throughout: reserved funds are escrowed per issue, and withdrawTreasury reverts on any owner withdrawal that would drop the balance below what readers are owed. All of it decodes from the calldata. 0x5465f31a6155E3eCCcC35f4E5bDC0e287763B0ee

Syndix has been live on @GIWA_by_Upbit Sepolia for three weeks. 73 verified Up.Id holders have claimed a reward, every one settled onchain and decodable from the calldata. Building it surfaced two gaps that GIWA's own roadmap already names. SyndixPaymaster is deployed, staked and funded against the EntryPoint v0.7 predeploy; but relaying a UserOperation still needs a smart-account factory and a bundler serving chain 91342, so until those ship readers submit their own claim and pay 1/166th of the reward in gas. The second is denomination. We promise a 100 KRW micro-reward and pay 0.00003 ETH - ₩132 when we set it, ₩80 today. SyndixStableTreasury is written and tested for a KRW-denominated pool; it needs a token to point at. Both are on GIWA's Coming Soon list. We've already built against them and are ready to be the first consumer of either.

Syndix went from 7 readers to 57 this week. We didn't reach out to anyone. Then we raised the proof-of-read gate from 45 seconds to 300. Fifteen have cleared it since. Every claim is gated on a real Up.Id, one per wallet per issue, settled on @GIWA_by_Upbit Sepolia. All of it decodable from the calldata; don't take our word for it. 0x5465f31a6155E3eCCcC35f4E5bDC0e287763B0ee

Syndix no longer publishes from a wallet. SyndixTreasury is now owned by a contract. A hot key on a server can call one function: publish, under caps enforced onchain: 0.001 ETH per issue, 1 issue per day. It cannot withdraw. It cannot raise its own caps. It cannot take ownership. Verified, not promised: 7 attack paths tested from that key, all refused. Guard: 0xb542E132e43149E99bef100654Dbe9e079470824

Paying people to read the news has been tried for a decade and never worked. Not because publishers are greedy. Because of three specific blockers, and @GIWA_by_Upbit is the first chain that clears all three. 🧵👇

Two people asked this week when the next issue lands. That's the best problem to have, and it's on us - the last one went out on 30 July. Four are live right now with 68 rewards still funded, if you haven't been through them all. More this week. Have a good Sunday.

Worth knowing while everyone's talking about @GIWA_by_Upbit: POSCO International isn't running a sandbox. Their trading arm is supplying real transaction flows, with Hana Financial handling settlement and FX, on a chain whose mainnet isn't open yet. The technical part is sharper than "blockchain remittance." Under SWIFT, the payment instruction and the actual movement of money are two separate steps: that gap is where the delay and cost live. GIWA merges them into one real-time process. The institutional half is further along than most people realise. The consumer half is the part still being built.

The sharpest line in here: satisfying banks isn't enough, retail has to be active. The piece is right that Base and Solana grew on things that looked useless before finance followed. @GIWA_by_Upbit already has the institutional side moving: Hana, POSCO, and what it needs next is consumer apps that bring ordinary people onchain without asking them to learn DeFi first. That's the gap we're building into. Syndix pays verified readers to finish an issue, and the gate is UPID; which is doing far more than replacing 0x7f…. It's the only sybil primitive on the chain, and without it paying readers is just a faucet. syndix.xyz

The key that signs proof-of-read never touches money. It certifies exactly one thing: that this address spent the required time on this issue. The reader is bound into the EIP-712 signature and submits the transaction themselves; so a stolen attester key can forge dwell time and still drain nothing. It's capped at one reward per article, same as everyone else. We designed for our own compromise, because a system that only works while its operator stays honest isn't a system. It's a promise.

4/5 Clear all three and something falls out that's bigger than a newsletter. Advertising loses an estimated $80B a year to fraud because nobody can prove a human saw anything. On GIWA, every read is a settled transaction from a verified human with checkable dwell time. The reward is the hook. The proof is the product.
