Most of those think tank guys have gotten extremely attached due to working on Syria for a decade, possibly their entire career at this point, it's also why they were so eager to jump on the "HTS is good now" train even before it was honestly that evident or safe to claim so.

It was him 💔… the IDF killed him an overnight raid. Just shot him dead… he wasn’t even carrying anything, they just chose to shoot him dead. They took his dead body away & then later came back & dumped it like it was garbage near the border fence. Civil defence had to recover it… there are no words… and we know there will be no accountability, either.
