Public Service Announcement: Learning 👏🏼 to 👏🏼 Identify 👏🏼 pollen 👏🏼 in 👏🏼 honey 👏🏼 is 👏🏼 not 👏🏼 easy. Especially if it is covered in kitt, wax, and full of nuclear material. You can’t learn this in a week. Got it? @forensicpollen @MatthewJ_Pound @PollenIsCallin @TAMUPollenLab

We can see a lot of the parasites in #palynology preps, too! I’ll never forget the human coprolite study done in @TAMUPollenLab when I was a student. The unacetolysed “kerogen” slides were great - cysts, worms, flukes - oh my!

Question: Have you found any eurypterids? Me: No, I don't look for them; animal fossils aren't particularly useful. *drops mic* #ProgPal17
"Round up the usual suspects". We analyze honey from many sources, telling you what the bees were collecting & where the samples originated.

I know poppies are customary. But, how about a rose to remember those who died so that we can be free. #pollen #MemorialDay17 #MemorialDay
