Another lesson from Tuesday's elections: Voters, in Texas & EVERYWHERE, love "early voting," in-person or absentee mail-in. The trend has been growing for several cycles, but it's a fact now. 2028 campaigns must alter their GOTV tactics & schedules. No more final week blitzes!

^"Sketchy" defined as any group raising money for data-gathering rather than actual campaigns or party-building while taking a cut off the top for "overhead."

My pre-order hobby box arrived today. I like the action photos, but I'm not big on including "all-time stars" in a current set. The star insert was a relic, not an autograph, but it was at least numbered - see the reply below.

The insert was a Cameron Carr "Rise to the Occasion" relic numbered 07/25. Also, a Steve Nash numbered 11/25. Collation wasn't bad, not too many dupes, but far short of a set. Par for the @Topps flagship course, @CardPurchaser
And people think sports broadcasting is a glamorous profession! I remember nearly freezing to death during a @UMassFootball game at @Northeastern's Parsons Field. Still, it's better than having a real job! Right, @emily_proud?
Many years ago, CBS aired a Saturday“whip around” featuring live reports from college football games around the country. @Learfield keeps the format alive with its Varsity app, dipping into live play-by-play game broadcasts. HIGHLY recommended for fans of football and radio!!

I've never eaten at a @Cheesecake Factory - the nearest franchise is about an hour away - so I know nothing about the chain, other than it was the go-to place on "The Big Bang Theory" because that's where Penny waited tables. (I do like cheesecake, though.)

A good weekend for Massachusetts football fans! @UMassFootball didn’t lose Saturday and the @Patriots didn’t lose Sunday.
Interpreting raw early voting numbers is a sucker’s game. The process is still too new, voting habits are evolving. Total turnout in red and blue counties matters, but time-shifting votes doesn’t. If motivated Dems can’t wait to vote, their total turnout may be front-loaded.
A current pet peeve about #NHPolitics (Don't worry; I have plenty): We need a honest discussion of a state income/sales tax. To fund services, we need money. If property taxes are too high, "more state aid" is meaningless unless the state has more money to distribute.
