5 things we learned when a global bank, the UK regulator, a Big Four firm, an engineering firm and a trade mission shared one stage:
1. Keep agents on rails that already have protections, like chargebacks and refunds, and start where mistakes can be reversed.
2. Expand todayโs liability framework so it covers agents. Thatโs an engineering job as much as a legal one.
3. Build on open finance. Standardised, traceable data gives everyone a framework they can trust.
4. Make an agentโs actions traceable, so liability can always be assigned.
5. Supervise agents one by one. Nobody can assess the risk of a whole ecosystem of agents at once.

prediction markets grew ~16x this year. the more interesting question is why.
i opened the prediction markets track at the agentic finance event in singapore this week
here is the recap:
$330B+ in contracts across kalshi and polymarket in nine months, driven by three shifts:
1. attention: peak moments bring new people in. the world cup brought kalshi 3M new users, by its own count, and a third of its super bowl volume was the halftime show, ads and cameos.
2. distribution: growth went to whoever met users where they already are. at one point robinhood drove ~30% of kalshi's volume, and draftkings went from $2.3B to $11B annualised in three months.
3. the moment: people are trading smaller, faster and more often. kalshi's trades per day rose 35x in a year while dollars rose ~10x, so the average trade fell from ~$140 to ~$40. that's a wider audience coming in.
one place combines all three: social media.
it's where attention peaks, where people already are, and where the moment happens live.
the next wave won't be more sophisticated traders. it'll be all the people with opinions who've never traded.
permissionless, social-native prediction markets will open the doors to that audience, and kash is leading the way !

First it was humans-->Then algo trading-->Then bots--> Now we have AI researching markets, reading news, watching order flow, building strategies, sizing positions...
At some point we need to ask: Is the trader still the human?
this may be my favorite panel at Agentic Finance Summit.
Because the four people on stage are seeing this shift from completely different places.
Yoshi Yokokawa, Co-Founder & CEO of @AlpacaHQ is building the rails underneath it. Alpaca is increasingly positioning itself around agent-first brokerage infrastructure, as AI-native interfaces become another way people access financial markets.
Then there is @frank_liquid, CEO of @liquidtrading, comes from a serious institutional AI and quantitative background, and Liquid is pushing the trading interface itself into AI.
Think about that for a second. The trading interface used to be Bloomberg-->Then a website-->Then an app-->Now it might just be: I think oil is going higher. Analyze it, size the trade and execute Im sure Franklyn is laughing now :)
Then @PeiChen01 , CEO of @TheoriqAI , brings another angle. How much should we actually let the machine do? Research? Monitoring? Execution? Portfolio management? Risk? And where does the human still need to sit in that process?
And Blasting it with @cjhtech CJ Hetherington, Co-Founder & CEO of @trylimitless Limitless Labs. Prediction markets make this whole discussion even crazier. Because now the thing being traded is information itself. Will this happen? Will that happen? What probability should the market assign to it? And AI agents are almost perfectly designed for this. They can consume information continuously. They do not sleep. They can price thousands of outcomes simultaneously. And eventually they can trade against other agents doing exactly the same thing.
So maybe the evolution looks like: Human trading-->Algo trading-->Bot trading-->AI-assisted trading-->Agentic trading------...And after that? Agents trading agents.
Which leads to the question I want @ossingerj of @CNBC to put to this table: Your agent had a bad week. Now explain it to your LP?
