I'm a guy without a plan.
Therefore I remain silent in reality.
Some find it weird but I prefer to observe things in silence.
Social media may be my voice but I'm not a keyboard hero.
I've got a few friends 'cause I believe in quality over quantity.
I respect the deserving ones. – at Sri Lanka

Microsoft is laying off 60,000 employees, 27% of its workforce across the world. This includes India as well.
The term used is Voluntary Exit Offers (VEOs).
Mails are already out to these employees.
They are offered some separation benefits and asked to leave.
Usually what happens in the industry is that if they don’t accept the voluntary exit offer, they are subsequently laid off. When you get laid off, separation benefits are not provided.
Though called voluntary, in all likelihood these 60,000 people would have no option but to leave the company.
At least from now on, the Finance Minister should consider not taxing severance benefits.
Suddenly overnight, a huge number of employees in one of the world’s largest companies are facing an uncertain future.
Already Oracle, including their Indian operations, has laid off a huge number of people.
The trend is expected to follow.
At least now you would understand why I’ve been saying for the last couple of years to create safe money worth 3 years of living expenses and not to go for any loans, including buying a house.
The impact of IT professionals losing jobs would start showing on premium consumption, real estate prices and reduced demand across the economy.
As I said, things would become worse before they become better.
Newer industries and opportunities would come in the future. But the transition period is going to be painful.
Rajapaksa clan is playing all cards to get people’s attention & sympathy these days. The latest is MR sending an emotional letter to NR in prison mimicking famous foreign personalities from the past. That entire family is making a laughing stock of news updates on a daily basis.
#RoshanRavindra and #HimaliSayurangi should necessarily be awarded relevant best category awards at next year's award ceremonies for their performances in #NatathAyekSuraMathin teledrama.
#Dinga Sinhala movie should’ve been a one-hour movie, let alone a short film. I love the cast & the story, but the movie felt dragged & stretched letting the story unfold leisurely. True masculinity isn’t measured through the body count, but through humaneness & respectfulness.
If international artists came across the stupidity of #lka artists who are against song ownership rules & the imposition of royalty payments, they'd laugh from their asses. No wonder why many Sri Lankan artists have to live through hardships forever while being popular yet broke.
I love Ridma's singing, but his short-sighted stupid decisions have put him in this sorry state.
Drove past Viharamahadevi Park today and saw these clowns.

Another litmus test for the Pres, PM & the NPP govt is how they’re gonna respond to/handle the politically-driven robe bearers’ pressure over the prison sentence of the convicted racist robed goon. They’ve already bent the law allowing convicted monks to wear robes outside prison
Some people’s inability to keep it in their pants extends to their social media handles as well. They post about their seasonal meet-ups with never-before-seen individuals, sharing moments together, only for each fling to be short-lived, while exposing the person they hookup with
Chief පොල්පිති prelates can shut up & mind their own business, ‘cause they have a record of being good for nothing when it comes to the safety & longevity of Buddhism in #lka. It’s a shame they’re in denial that the decline of Buddhism starts within the monastic community itself.
B of #BnS is in the board of directors of #ACPOSL. Well there are many BnS songs that are stolen melodies (starting from Wasanthaye & more. They literally stole work of another director Rohana Weerasinghe for an advert. Such irony. Modern #CopyLanka gurus. lankasara.com/life/arts/bns-…
