If you knew @Stacks years ago, you remember it as one sentence: "stack STX, earn Bitcoin." That sentence just got a sequel 👇
🟧 Now Bitcoin itself earns Bitcoin
Starting September 10, BTC locks on Bitcoin L1 with a timelock, keys never moving, and earns a target 3% per year paid in BTC. Funded by miners who spend BTC competing for Stacks blocks, the same mechanism that has paid stackers 4,200+ BTC since 2021. The old sentence was the pilot. This is the show.
❓ Fair question: if Bitcoin earns the yield, what does STX capture? Three mechanical answers.
1⃣ Mandatory demand
Every BTC entering the bond must lock STX alongside it, minimum 5% of the position. Protocol law, not optional. For the first time, Bitcoin capital has to buy STX to earn its yield. STX demand becomes a function of BTC inflow.
2⃣ Shrinking float
Paired STX locks for the full six months, every renewal re-locks it, and STX-only stacking keeps absorbing more. Rising demand meeting shrinking sellable supply is the oldest equation in markets.
3⃣ The miner loop
Miners bid BTC because Stacks block rewards (paid in STX) are worth winning. Firmer STX → richer rewards → bigger BTC bids → deeper yield pool → more bond capacity → more STX locked. The yield engine and the token are the same machine ⚙️
⚠️ Honest caveat: the loop spins both ways, which is why coverage bands and a reserve fund exist. The end state is fees replacing emissions, the point where the loop no longer needs the loop.
💡 The one-liner for the next few years writes itself: Bitcoin earns Bitcoin on Stacks, and every Bitcoin that does locks STX to do it.
Disclosure: I hold $BTC and STX.

If you're new to @Stacks $STX .
First off, welcome.
Genuinely, its good to have you. We are focused on building the new wave of adoption in blockchain. The real adoption. Not hype. But, utility. Real utility. Thats dApps focused on BTCFI, utility, art, community, and more. At core of it, our tech anchors to $BTC.
Our blocks process in seconds.
We also gain Bitcoin Finality in parity with BTC's block times.
We also now have Bitcoin Staking. BTC stays on BTC and pays in BTC. 5% of the BTC value in STX on STX. All brought to you by the LEGENDARY devs and innovators in this corner of the internet.
So, what else is there?
Pop over to the main site and you can see some of the many ecosystem dApps. Know there are tons of more builders and many that just started in the past year. I expect a surge of innovation to flood with the latest PoX-5 upgrade too.
Again, good to have you. Our mission is noble and the cause is bigger than us as individuals or applications. 🫡.

What happens to STX if the @Stacks Genesis Bond flywheel actually spins 👇
🔄 The loop
BTC enrolls → every bond and renewal locks STX alongside it (minimum 5% of position) → for the first time, Bitcoin holders must buy STX to earn their yield → float shrinks against mechanism-driven demand → STX value firms → block rewards become worth more, so miners bid more BTC → reward pool deepens, capacity grows → PoX-6 removes the whitelist (its own SIP and vote) and the market sets the size.
⚠️ Honest note: this wheel spins both ways. The SIP itself names the risk: weaker STX → smaller miner bids → smaller pool. Coverage bands and a reserve fund exist to keep the downswing from breaking the machine while the upswing compounds.
📈 What re-rates at each stage
1⃣ Bond proven: enrollment fills, renewals hold → the story upgrades from "product launch" to "working instrument," and STX gets re-priced as the asset at the center of a verified Bitcoin income product.
2⃣ Flywheel visible: locked supply compounding, sBTC and DeFi following the bonded BTC → STX stops trading as an altcoin and starts trading as the reserve asset of a functioning Bitcoin capital market. Different category, different multiple.
3⃣ Fee economy: fees replace emissions, the reflexivity loop breaks for good → the asset prices off recurring revenue, the way mature networks do. The biggest numbers people throw around actually require this stage.
💡 One line: today STX demand is a parameter someone sets. A spinning flywheel makes it a function of Bitcoin inflow. Markets pay a different multiple for demand that compounds itself. Run your own numbers against today's market cap.
📊 The dashboard: @Stacks enrollment from Sep 10 → first rewards ~Sep 17 → miner bids and coverage ratio by cycle → renewal rate at month 6. Not a belief. A checklist.
Not financial advice. Disclosure: I hold $BTC and $STX .
