I am on the Road quite a bit one of the biggest reasons I put my family in @Tesla vehicles is their safety score !
This happened this weekend to my @cybertruck I have to say any other vehicles outcome would have been very different getting rear ended 35-45 mph no brakes applied from a F250 fully loaded !
Fireman said “your truck is a tank it has no damage the ford is totaled !”
My neck hurts quite a bit but my FSD still managed to get me home safe to my family & that’s what counts ! Thank you @wmorrill3 @woodhaus2 @larsmoravy @elonmusk @teslaownersSV – at Sacramento, CA

Why Tesla
The car is not the product. The cage, the air, and the brain are.
1. The cage
2026 Model Y: 5-star overall from NHTSA. Tesla’s line: “Many cars earn 5-stars from a combined overall score. Model Y earned 5-stars in every category.” Then NHTSA’s new ADAS tests. First vehicle through. Built on or after Nov 12, 2025.
2. The air
Hospital-grade HEPA. Tesla’s number: 99.97% of particles at 0.3 microns. They ran the bubble test at 1,000 µg/m³ PM2.5. Under two minutes the cabin was below the instruments.
Elon, 2015:
“If there is ever an apocalyptic scenario of some kind, hypothetically, you just press the bioweapon defense mode button.”
3. The brain
Tesla’s live FSD safety page tonight: 13.9 billion miles. Their report: 7× fewer major collisions vs the U.S. average they publish. Eight cameras. A million pixels every millisecond.
We posted a four-way stop in 2023. A lady waved at the car. He wrote:
“99% of people still have no idea how profound this is.”
The cage keeps you in the crash. The HEPA keeps the air out. The brain is trying to skip the crash.

Moonbase Alpha will be so cool.
And we want to make it so that anyone can go to the Moon if they want.
SpaceX is getting very close to building the first serious base on the Moon
Starship changes the entire equation
It is designed to deliver up to 100 tonnes directly to the lunar surface - enough to transport habitats, rovers, power systems, construction equipment and everything needed to begin building a permanent outpost
Then the other pieces come together
Tesla Optimus robots could eventually unload cargo, assemble structures, move equipment and perform dangerous construction work before large human crews arrive
Building a base mostly with humans is a serious limitation
Humans need life support, pressurized habitats, spacesuits, oxygen, food and protection just to survive and work on the lunar surface
But with Tesla Optimus, that equation changes entirely
Tesla’s experience with solar energy, batteries, autonomous vehicles and large-scale manufacturing can support the power and transportation systems required on the Moon
SpaceX provides transportation
Tesla provides energy, autonomy and robotics
Starship provides the scale
Suddenly building a serious base on the Moon becomes dramatically easier
And once that infrastructure is ready, humans can stay for much longer periods and eventually even routine private lunar missions and tourism become possible
Once the first permanent lunar outpost is established, its usefulness will compound rapidly.....supporting science, resource development, communications and deeper missions into space
The Moon could become humanity’s first true outpost beyond Earth

BREAKING: Tesla will open source the design and software of the Model S and Model X. 🚗⚡
• Elon Musk says Tesla plans to release the complete design and software for both vehicles.
• The move follows Tesla's 2023 open-source release of the original Roadster's engineering and diagnostic materials.
• Production of the Model S and Model X ended in Q2 2026, with factory capacity redirected to Optimus and Cybercab.
• Open-sourcing the platforms will make repairs, maintenance, and modifications easier for owners and independent repair shops.
• Engineers and researchers will gain access to real-world EV battery, powertrain, and software designs.
The decision continues Tesla's long-standing commitment to open innovation and supporting the broader transition to sustainable transportation.
