Today in the House Natural Resources Committee, we made the first step towards making a Texas sized investment in water! With a 13-0 vote, the committee voted out HJR 7, which constitutionally dedicates $1 Billion per year towards the Texas Water Fund. I am honored to author this monumental legislation and look forward to working with my House colleagues and the Senate to deliver a comprehensive plan for final voter approval next November!
This afternoon, Senate Water, Agriculture, and Rural Affairs Committee Chair Senator @electcharles gave a fantastic keynote address to attendees of the Texas Water Association’s Annual Convention. Thank you, Senator Perry, for your continued leadership in Texas water!

Texas finally released its Infrastructure Report Card, and we scored a C. This means some of our infrastructure needs serious upgrades to keep up with our growing population. It's a call to action for better planning and investment to ensure safety and efficiency for everyone.
The @TEXASCEtweets Infrastructure Report Card gives Texas water infrastructure concerning grades:
💧Drinking Water, Wastewater, & Dams: D grades
🌩️Stormwater Infrastructure: C-
Now is the time to take action and invest in Texas water infrastructure!
