Consequences arrive over time... Remember what happened to WCW?. Here is a quote from the book "The death of WCW"

No. I did it during the PS4 era. Started noticing the first party games were no longer appealing to me.
If they won't give you physical games, make your own.
GOG's Preservation Program just expanded with Star Trek: 25th Anniversary and Armikrog, joining Descent, Hitman: Codename 47, and Myst. In collaboration with Big Box Collection, this wave preserves far more than just software:
- Interactive 3D Boxes: Download rotatable 3D scans of the original physical box art and inspect them directly in Windows or Mac without extra plugins.
- Printable Big Boxes: access flat printable box art so you can cut, fold, and glue your own physical PC big box at home.
Pair a custom papercraft big box with GOG’s DRM-free offline installers, and no one can ever take the games you paid for away from you.

I pre-ordered it. And making my own engine in c to makes games for it (hopefully) in the future

It depends on how you got the build.
- If you discovered your build that cheeses the game, there is nothing wrong with that.
- If you followed a guide to a cheese build, you gave yourself a disservice IMO.

I consider generative AI in the same category as Asset Flips. It comes on how the game developer uses it and how good the end result is.
