I looked at the study and—ehh. 1/3 of participants dropped out of the study, there is probably some attrition bias, e.g., parents who stayed in the study might be more conscientious/higher IQ than those who dropped out, which gets in the way of the RCT’s usefulness. Of the two primary outcomes the researchers were measuring—withdrawal and attention span—they only found a difference (decrease) in withdrawal, and that was based on parent-reported behavioral surveys, which are also biased. IQ, which ofc is what everyone is commenting on, was a secondary outcome. IDK. I think eating eggs (and most whole foods, in moderation) is lindy and probably good for you, I just roll my eyes at constantly changing health trends based on studies like this one that seem to overstate their findings.
