🎉🎉 Serbia celebrates Vučić's defeat all night — now he's warning the country about sanctions against Russia
After 14 years of Aleksandar Vučić's political dominance, his bloc has lost the snap parliamentary elections. The opposition Student List, which emerged from mass anti-government protests, has claimed victory.
According to preliminary figures from Ipsos and CeSID, the students secured around 53% of the vote, while Vučić's coalition received approximately 39%.
The former president acknowledged defeat. He estimated that the winners could secure 135–140 seats in Serbia's 250-member parliament.
But he couldn't resist issuing a warning about Russia. Vučić claimed the new government could impose sanctions on Moscow as early as March or April.
Meanwhile, Belgrade and other Serbian cities celebrated the student movement's victory throughout the night, with car horns, singing, and crowds cheering in the streets.
Final election results are still pending.

"Helping Ukraine as it fights for its independence and against Russian occupation is not just the right thing to do; it’s also the pragmatic thing to do.

Russia continues its brutal attacks on civilian infrastructure, local residents, and rescue workers across Ukraine.
▪️ Russians killed four people in Dnipropetrovsk region. 14 more people were injured, including an 11-year-old girl.
Critical infrastructure, residential buildings, shops and cars were damaged.
▪️ In Poltava and Zaporizhzhia, Russians struck shopping malls.
▪️ A 14-year-old girl and a 61-year-old man were injured by Russian FPV drone strikes on Zaporizhzhia region.
▪️ Four people, including three emergency workers, were injured in Kharkiv.
Russia attacked a shopping mall and a civilian enterprise with drones.
While emergency crews were dealing with the aftermath, Russia launched follow-up strikes on the sites where rescuers were working.
▪️ In Vinnytsia, six people were injured by a Russian strike on a residential building.
A private care home for older people was damaged, and 15 residents were evacuated.
Russians also hit energy infrastructure.
▪️ In Zhytomyr region, a Russian attack damaged an outpatient clinic, a residential building and a warehouse.
