BREAKING: Saudi Arabia offers Yemen's Houthis $1 billion through Tehran to halt their attacks as part of a ceasefire, with Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman flying to Iran to negotiate it and even bringing the money with him aboard the C-130 aircraft he arrived on, per diplomatic Gulf sources to Israel Hayom. Iran offered to mediate between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis. It was represented by President Pezeshkian, SNSC chief Mohsen Rezaei and senior IRGC officials. Turkish intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin and Pakistan's army chief Asim Munir were also taking part. This is one of the biggest concessions from the Saudis yet.

Trump has LANDED at the white House Now we wait to see what happens next: Iran, Yemen, or a silent night

The American imperialists are oddly trying to fight a multi-front war against two powerful oil states at the same time. They’re banking on American capitalism surviving a war that is likely going to rock the energy market for at least a few years.
Ukraine has struck an oil refinery in Moscow, Russia. These ongoing attacks on Russian oil facilities could push global energy prices even higher. The attack comes despite Trump urging Ukraine to stop targeting Russian oil refineries and diesel infrastructure. Trump has argued that these strikes are contributing to a global diesel shortage and record-high fuel prices.

🚨Ansarallah announced that they targeted "sensitive sites" in Riyadh and Aramco facilities in Yanbu overnight using a large number of cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and drones. Saudi Civil Defense alerts were triggered multiple times for 10 different cities and provinces during the attacks. NASA FIRMS data confirms that fuel storage at the Aramco Central Region Distribution facility was struck and a fire has been burning for several hours. Photos and videos have been circulating online, showing a large smoke column rising from the vicinity of King Khalid International Airport, where the Aramco distribution facility is located.

Netanyahu said that an Iranian nuclear strike on Israel would be like “10,000 tons of TNT falling on a country the size of New Jersey (22,610 km2).” Netanyahu has dropped 223,000+ tonnes of explosives on Gaza (365 km2) - the equivalent of ~22 nukes on 1.6% the size of New Jersey

⭕️ Several developments raised concerns over a possible new U.S. escalation against Iran on Saturday night: Trump returned to the White House early from Camp David, B-1 bombers were filmed departing Britain, and the State Department issued a new security alert for Americans across the Middle East. Iranian security services are reportedly on maximum alert, though no new U.S. military operation has yet been announced.

NEW | The Houthis struck Aramco fuel depots near Riyadh International Airport, marking the first Houthi attack on the Saudi capital during the current Houthi-Saudi conflict. The attack is part of the Houthis' campaign to maximize economic and political costs on Saudi Arabia to force the kingdom to acquiesce to Houthi demands. Social media users published footage of a large plume of smoke near the airport, which experienced major disruptions following the Houthi attack. The Houthis claimed that they fired a "large number" of missiles and drones targeting "sensitive sites" in Riyadh as well as Aramco facilities in Yanbu, which is home to a major Red Sea oil export terminal. The Houthis have repeatedly struck Yanbu during the conflict to constrain Saudi Arabia's ability to export oil and thereby increase pressure on Saudi to meet Houthi demands. The Houthis' stated demands are primarily economic and seek to address the dire economic situation in Houthi-controlled territory, but the Houthis maintain a grand strategic objective of controlling at least all of Yemen. ISW-CTP will continue to monitor the conflict and provide updates as events warrant.

Cops protect Nazis, a tale as old as time.

(new book) @gchelwa and I are really happy to give you How the International Monetary Fund Strangles Africa. It's our short book that lays out in great detail how the IMF and its allied agencies (such as Transparency International) work together to undermine the sovereign rights of African states and of the African continent to seek development. The IMF's development policy is the underdevelopment of Africa. Having laid this groundwork, Grieve and I turn at the end of the book to the institutional imperatives for an African development agenda. Get the book at @inkanibooks - inkanibooks.co.za/product/ho…
