Not one state
Not one federal agency
Not the department of labor
Not any states workforce department
None have built a website where skilled workers can upload their resumes to dispute employers claims that they can’t find skilled workers

No one in the history of media knew the interior workings of a young boy’s brain better than Bill Watterson
Absolutely fucking terrifying concept.
Although I guess I could get behind Government mandated afternoon naps lol.
"It is all a sham. The world that created those statistics, people, and businesses no longer exists. Brilliant but desperate Vietnamese fathers who fled communism have nothing in common with young men from Honduras, and the crime rates/economic acccomplishments/integration of the former should not be used to justify mass migration of the latter."
Immigration policy must be driven by the present, not the past, and business leaders are too terrified of the left AND the right to acknowledge this.
Recent H1B discourse revolves around a longstanding immigration sleight-of-hand. H1B proponents point to exceptional people who came here decades ago as if they represent the current state of the program in the same way that advocates for low-skill/illegal immigration point to very favorable immigrant crime/welfare/education/etc statistics that do, in truth, have them beating native-born Americans on many fronts.
It is all a sham. The world that created those statistics, people, and businesses no longer exists. Brilliant but desperate Vietnamese fathers who fled communism have nothing in common with young men from Honduras, and the crime rates/economic acccomplishments/integration of the former should not be used to justify mass migration of the latter.
Nor should the accomplishments of people who managed to get an H1B visa in the 90s (when the program was capped to just 65,000 visas) be used to justify staffing agencies and tech companies using the program to replace American jobs for less money. The obvious abuse going on is politically suicidal and something that even the most ardent supporters of the visa should want to crack down on, no immigration program can possibly survive the obvious and widely known reality of what is going on. I am a longtime outspoken advocate for stealing the best people from other countries to make our own better, runaway abuse of existing programs robs the government of the worker trust required to do so.
Lots of people in the tech space know this. Even the dumb people are smart enough to see it. Nobody actually believes these are all incredible people with unique talents performing jobs no American can. Everyone knows the guy in Cubicle Bay 7 doing mediocre but functional web design for half the salary of his American peers is no savant and doesn't meet the statutory requirements for his H-1B visa.
Unfortunately, most people with power or profile are terrified that any public statement or acknowledgement will get them attacked by the right (You guys have been screwing over American workers for years with visa abuse, you damn hypocrite!) or the left (You are racist, sexist, misogynist, and sucking up to this fascist administration!). Or, more likely, both. I know too many tech execs in particular who feel trapped, like the only winning move is to stay silent.
JD is blowing the whole thing wide open by putting facts and stats front and center that nobody wants to engage with. Critics will talk about anything and everything else but these damning facts and this obvious truth, that H1B visas serve neither their original purpose, legal purpose, invented purpose, or the American people.

Vivek should drop out of the Governor’s race immediately. His ad is disgraceful, and now he’s doubling down. He’s hurting Ohio Republicans down the ballot. It’s time to drop out.
Axios: Vivek Ramaswamy doubles down on explosive ad featuring rival's mother, despite backlash
Vivek Ramaswamy's campaign for Ohio governor is pouring $4 million into a bombshell ad in which his opponent's estranged mother attacks her daughter — doubling down on the message despite fierce bipartisan backlash.
axios.com/2026/10/21/ramaswa…
Imagine being Vivek Ramaswamy (gross) just two weeks ago. You had one of two outcomes in the bag: either you win the election with enough R's holding their nose to vote for you, or you lose and can blame online racists for the poor turnout (not that we'd care).
Now, with this vile attack ad on Acton – which he has doubled down on – he's going to have NO ONE TO BLAME but *himself* when he gets throttled at the polls. Incredible!!
The real blind spot for Vivek here comes from his SE Asian upbringing, wherein disappointing your parents is the ultimate sin.
Total disconnect with Western values, he is wearing Christianity like a skin suit and hoping you won't notice.
Opinion: Ramaswamy use of Amy Acton's mom vilest thing I've seen in 35 years of politics | Coleman dispatch.com/story/opinion/l…

In light of the most recent attack by Vivek (by way of manipulating Amy’s family) I have considered this-
Vivek and his friends cover up human and child trafficking while attacking Amy Acton over the abuse she endured as a child.
These revolting and manipulative men show no care or genuine concern for people or Ohio and that is the reason I was called to run against Vivek in the primary.
I’m a Republican, but I’m crossing party lines to vote for Amy and end Vivek’s political future in America.
Amy, may you lead Ohio with compassion for everybody and our future as normal people together.
(That includes straight White men too)

I LOVE airport bars. Truly, our nations last safe space. Guy next to me at Ohare downed a shot of Brandy and said “Trevor Lawerence is a fag!” then immediately got on a flight to Cincinnati
First guy to "kickflip" his Roadster off the second deck of 1-35 through downtown Austin is going to be a legend.

Trump has pledged to parents who homeschool their kids that he will eliminate taxes on up to $10,000 a year per child on all costs associated with their children's education
"I will also work to ensure that every homeschool family is entitled to full access to the benefits available to non-homeschool students, including participating in athletic programs, clubs, after-school activities, educational trips, and more."
Not only are we getting an economic BOOM, but we will also get an educational renaissance due to parents taking back their kids' education from Uncle Sam.
If any of your family or friends are homeschooling their kids. Please send them this video so they know why they MUST vote for Trump.
