Way to go North Carolina! You literally elected the same group of people who left you for dead during the flood because you were Conservatives... Wow.

Two years ago this weekend, Hurricane Helene hit Western NC. The darkness in that bottom image wasn't night — it was a region cut off from the world.
Two years later, recovery continues. We remember those we lost.

Two years ago this morning, after two straight days of rain, Hurricane Helene roared through western North Carolina.
May we never forget the ones who lost their lives and those whose lives were forever changed by this generational storm.

Got triggered by a Pro Women shirt. I promise the WNBA doesn’t have long. Joke of a league. How ass-backwards do you have to be to be anti-pro-woman but have no smoke for trans athletes? You’re a legit woman hating on someone wearing a shirt that SUPPORTS YOU.

Mount Airy Public Works building and fleet may be "ruined" after the flood. Their facility was overrun with water last night, including many city vehicles.
A State of Emergency is in effect. City services could be impacted for a long while.

When it’s 105 degrees Europeans die of heat stroke.
When it’s 105 degrees Americans down a 6pack and mow the lawn shirtless.
We are not the same.

Happy Sunday everyone! 🌞
This week, we are starting a new series called CHASER SPOTLIGHT SUNDAYS where we shine a little light on each of our chasers, week by week. We hope you enjoy getting to know them!
Our first Chaser Spotlight will be on Clayton Wicker, a very deserving chaser to kick off this series with.
Clayton is turning 22 years old in a few weeks (happy early birthday!), and he works full time in Columbia, MS as an EMT.
He’s been chasing storms for 4 years now, and he’s spent all 4 of those years with us in SparkService. He’s a dedicated, talented, and treasured part of our team! He enjoys traveling to new places while chasing, and you’ll often catch him snacking on something all the while.
Clayton is most proud of catching the Rolling Fork EF4 tornado in 2023, and helping serve the community in the aftermath. Due to his diligence, as well as many others in SparkService, many lives were saved that night. His cool, calm, and collected demeanor serves him well in this way.
He has always been interested in weather, but the door opened for him into storm chasing when he met Josh, one of our leaders, at college. The both of them have been chasing ever since!
His advice for new chasers is to not rely solely on radar. Know the sky, and what you’re looking for out in front of you.
Thank you for chasing with us, Clayton! You’re a star!
