Here's a final great final argument against measure RTM: your tax dollars fund cushy union jobs instead of automated trains, like other advanced countries have. Vote NO on measure RTM and force the system to adapt to the modern world!

I love this piece by my good friend Johnny Khamis, courtesy of @svopportunity. Every two years it's "give us more money or everything you've ever loved will perish!" That's the rhetoric that people use to push tax hikes

A wonky but illuminating deep dive into why our transit system is so broken. It isn't because you don't pay enough as a taxpayer. So vote NO on measure RTM:

It's time for the "vote no on RTM" poetry slam. I'm going with a haiku:
Empty rush hour seats
We don't know how to fill, so
Give us more money
Read this, and you'll see why you should vote NO on measure RTM
Is transit accountability a myth?
“Measure RTM has plenty of committees, reports, reviews, and procedures. But bureaucracy isn’t accountability.”
Just my opinion…

There's a reason so many local leaders have joined editorial boards in rejecting measure RTM. It puts all the pain on you, the taxpayer, so that the transit system doesn't feel any pain at all.

Vote NO on measure RTM.. the "study" that was commissioned is a wonderful example of modern-day propaganda. Seriously, it should be used in a class on propaganda techniques:

We have been warned for years. Vote NO on measure RTM!
From my BART Board Director archives, written for @EastBayTimes in June 2023 after voting NO on the @SFBART FY2024 budget. And I meant it.
"Before BART gets another taxpayer bailout, reforms need to be put in place to make the agency more accountable to taxpayers. It’s only fair."

Vote No on Measure RTM! It's such an abuse of taxpayer generosity

Our public transit system is run first and foremost as a jobs program, one that we are on the hook for as taxpayers. The system should be run for riders, not for transit employees. If we did run it for riders, we'd make a lot of changes

Here's some eye-opening data on transit ridership by Tom Rubin, a super-smart transit finance analyst. Read it and you'll see why so many have come out against measure RTM. Vote no on it!

Don't believe the scary language the RTM people are using. The system will be fine; it will just be forced, finally, to adapt to reality...

You should read everything Gregg Dieguez writes. They train some sharp minds at MIT. Here's his take on measure RTM, and why you should vote no:

Great to see a HS student getting involved in policy analysis! Give Athan's piece on Bay Area transit a read!

Nobody should be surprised that the SPUR report is biased, partisan, and full of bogus data. It's SPUR. What's most notable is how big time legacy media outlets like the Chron and ABC7 played stenographer for SPUR, and reported all their dubious assumptions at face value. @marklisheron
Here's a great piece from the indomitable Susan Shelley on why you should vote "yes!" on Prop 43:
