🧵 It's been one month since I lost sweet little Benz. I'd like to share some pictures of him. He was a precious, loving, gentle little guy who will never be forgotten. Beamer and I still miss him terribly.

They would have to cure the long covid I got from my last infection in 2023 that left me homebound ?? I guess then I would stop masking?? Does that make sense to u Noah
At this point you genuinely have to ask what it would take for these people to stop acting like it's still 2020.

Looking at this and thinking of all the people who were jammed into the COMBINED vaccine clinic and voting place I attended on October 20th. How many ended up getting Covid or Flu A? Or BOTH? 😬Husband and I were the ONLY ONES masked. We have remained well. #MasksWork!!
Replying to @LyneFiliatraul2

I guess that, ultimately, most people think they are stronger than SarsCov2. I do not.

Navarre Beach, Florida last night. Someone unresponsive on the sand. Adults walking right past. 2 little boys were the only ones who stopped to help. A stranger on a balcony had to call 911. Florida where Covid is still dropping people in public and the rest of the beach keeps pretending the pandemic ended. Same story, different wave.
FLORIDA saw a decline in Flu positivity after spiking the most since Dec 7-13, 2025, and hitting levels last seen Feb 15-21, 2025 for Oct 11-17. COVID increased unfortunately!

The passing of Patrick Stewart is hitting hard. Trekkies around my age understand that TNG was OUR series, we love TOS but Picard was the one we grew up with. Add all of his other roles and how good of a person he seemed to be - yeah this is up there with Robin Williams and Jim Henson for me. At least Stewart had a long life well lived. And it’s helpful to commiserate with all of you lovely folks as well. Rest in peace sir

Marina Sirtis gives an incredibly emotional, powerful tribute to Sir Patrick Stewart 💔 "He's gone. My friend. My Captain. My fellow football fan." 😢 You can tell it really comes from the heart. You can see how much he meant to all of them, especially the Next Generation crew. Rest easy, Captain. 🖖❤️🙏

I saw a video of a doctor saying that, according to a large study, tinnitus is one of the early signs of dementia, so that cheered me up no end.

Ok, story time. On Father's Day 2016 I was out to brunch with a friend in Park Slope and I brought my then new puppy Stevie Nicks. Midway through the meal a young woman and an older man were seated next to us. He was wearing a bucket hat and sunglasses. After a few minutes they both start asking me questions about my dog, then start petting her, then start playing with her, then ask if we can combine tables. Thought it was kind of forward but whatever. We talk a bunch about pet ownership and about how bad they both want a dog but can't due to work travel. In fact, they had just gotten back from a business trip. I tell them they should just do it. It was all very pleasant. Throughout the meal the man didn't look up much and when he spoke it was mostly in hushed tones. Just thought he was shy or quiet, or maybe sick. Its New York so you encounter weird stuff all the time. Until, for just a brief moment, his voice broke out in excitement. I looked at my friend a bit puzzled, he looked back at me. The voice was unmistakeable. It was in that moment that we both realized we were having brunch with SIR PATRICK STEWART. He could tell he was outted. But we played it cool, he played it cool, we all ate together and then went our separate ways. I later realized the "business travel" he had just come back from was filming Logan. I often forget about the encounter but a few years later there were a bunch of pieces that were written about him and his wife and their love of fostering pitbulls and it made me happy. Can't help but feel like my encouragement played a small, small part in their decision to do so. Anyway, rest easy Sir Patrick Stewart. My dad was the biggest Next Generation fan and I'll always treasure how Captain Picard loved my dog.

If you're a healthcare worker on a transplant or cancer ward, and you don't wear a mask, you're a piece of shit. I've held my tongue for long enough. You're honestly fucking vermin at this point.

Stop getting Covid repeatedly, demand better. Clean the air. :)
Social murder is Fredrick Engels' term for when society places workers in a position where they cannot maintain health or live long, when it deprives them of the means of life, and when it knows this & does nothing. There’s no individual killer bc it’s the arrangement that kills.
