I know I have found my place to slow down in the Ozarks…. Just need to make that final jump.

So I'm pretty stoked for tomorrows meeting and I can't wait to tell you how it goes.
Truly the coolest person, and brilliantly funny and smart.

People look at me like I have 2 heads when I tell them I don’t deworm my sheep, cows and goats
But here is the thing… any chemicals we use to kill the bugs in their guts are going to kill life in the soil
We know dewormers kill dung beetles. And just like in the video, the ironic part is, dung beetles help control parasites. They ball manure up and take it down into the soil and the parasites can live underground
The ecosystem is an amazing thing when we allow it to work

What an excellent example for your children to see you working hard for your family everyday. 🐄✨️

The fruit wine experiment continues. Apple wine got its first filtration, cherry its second. I don’t really care about wine (or alcohol in general, beyond the occasional dark beer or whisky), but it tastes decent so far and it’s fun.

Got out to the squash patch late, and these crooknecks went hard and warty. Too tough for dinner, perfect for the pigs. Farmers fed hogs their late squash and pumpkins, seeds and all, to keep worms down. Nothing wasted. Who else does it?

The Lord has provided as he always does.
I was hired today to help with running new waterlines under a house. Just a call out of the blue from a guy i havent spoken to in months. I made $350 today for 8 hours labor. Guy had no clue I needed the money.
Praise God.

Happy first day of hunting @KristiNoem
Happy Opener, South Dakota! Foster and I wish you good luck in the field!
Pheasant hunting is part of who we are, and it’s a tradition worth passing on to our kids and grandkids.
As Governor, I partnered with landowners to start the Second Century Initiative, helping turn marginal land into wildlife habitat so the next generation can enjoy the same hunting traditions we grew up with.

Sometimes I just gotta pinch myself.
Imagine a sonofabitch like me gives up on women entirely, swears it's 100% over, starts calling up the Franciscans thinking it's time for a funny haircut and a robe, and she swoops in...
She's sitting over there drinking a Utica Club. Had a mini Italian Cheesecake for breakfast. Keeps telling me to "make an offer on that land" and "why don't we just move to Port Leyden?" She's up for whatever, never complains, doesn't mind the long winters. Listens to me ramble, gives me prosciutto when I'm depressed -- you name it, she's doing it right.
And when we're traveling and I say "ah Lord this just isn't working out" she says "well, I sorta knew all along, we should go back to Upstate for a while". She gives me permission to love this shithole where I'm from.
She'd be well within her rights to put the spurs into me to move us to Phoenix or whatever, but much of the time she sees my own vision better than I do...
What a woman. Anyone got anything bad to say about her can go straight to hell, I love her. Best woman on planet earth. A godsend.
