Breakthrough season for Carlos Espi and despite the small sample size, there is a lot to like 👇

What can happen when you prioritise players who will run around like headless chickens over ones with technical ability.
Of all the damning statistics around Leeds' final third play this season, the one that sticks out is that of the 96 teams in Europe's big-five leagues, Leeds rank 95th for final third passing accuracy (56.9%); just in the Premier League, they are 20th. #lufc
On the rewatch and it’s not surprise that Wilson looks better picking up the ball in these positions compared to these. For me Wilson isn’t a creator from deep and that’s what I feel he’s been asked to do a lot this season except yesterday.
In what world is creating 0.41 xG in the first half being considered should be out of sight?
DF: "Bournemouth structured. Defend well. We could have been more precise second half. Strange decision-making added time. Had chances to be out of sight by HT. Self-inflicted goal. Good away game generally. If an opponent is defending deep, we should hit the target more." #lufc
Ultimately you could say today’s defeat came down to an error from Trafford which you can accept a bit more if he offers something in build up. For me though right now he’s on the ball a lot more than he should and we gain no advantage from it.
More chance Farke plays Bahoya then us selling DCL to them.
Manchester United are exploring the market for centre forwards in January, and one name under consideration is Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

See I haven’t really watched enough of Bahoya to tell you if he’s great or not but surely the alternatives at the moment aren’t showing enough to be guaranteed starters?
Pretty sure a lot of the other teams “100m” attacking player weren’t that when their club signed them. Someone like a Bahoya is the exact signing they’d make and turn into that (not saying he is or will but he can’t be any worse than Brendan and Wilson atm surely?).
Daniel Farke: “I'm the manager of a side who has struggled for 30 years to play 2 solid seasons on PL level. I accept that we don't have offensive-wise individual quality where a player who costs £100m who has a moment of magic and wins this game.” #LUFC [via @isaacjohnsonLL]
A year ago I would have taken a boring mid table team for a while but now we’re in that positions my god it’s hard work. Just want a couple of Raphinha (when he joined us not now) to at least create some exciting moments.
