If this prediction turns out to be correct, it wouldn’t be too surprising...
Some of us think: "It'll probably just be an ordinary El Niño that blows over quickly." Others think: "Nothing to worry about; climate change is a hoax." The truth is: "Niño 1+2 has other ideas and intentions!" We will head back to +4°C during the Northern Hemisphere summer!!

Vietnam’s coffee production in 2026/27 will definitely reach a record high! 😊 From now on, I won’t post about the condition of coffee plants in Vietnam anymore! Feel free to unfollow me if you’re only interested in my coffee-related posts!

I’ll focus on investing in food crops before the upcoming El Niño drought... As for cash crops, I’ll worry about those later. Having rice stored at home is enough for me. 😊
Breaking News! Code: FUBAR!!! The preliminary Nino 3.4 sea-surface temperature for September 25th was 29.822°C. This breaks the previous highest temperature ever recorded in the region of 29.815°C, set on November 17th, 2015. The Climate 8-ball is exiting, stage right.

❓When an industry begins to flourish, the pioneers who lead the way may be approached by the “big players,” who offer them power and influence in exchange for their loyalty. ❓
"There is nothing to discuss here Maja, was trying to understand who "FUNDS YOUR AGENDA" ... with Uganda and drought" - Tom @tomceze are you F&%#CING KIDDING ME??? What a DISGUSTING and deeply insulting and disappointing message !! Dear #coffee friends and #KC followers here, this morning I woke up to this extraordinary and shocking message from someone who CLAIMS to be all in for the good of the #coffee growers in UGANDA, and responding in good faith - which many of you here know I have ALWAYS done with anyone asking questions here since I first joined X-Twitter nearly 20 years ago - instead Tom’s Green Coffee @tomceze replies with the lines above and instead of even TRYING to "kindly inquire" as he initially said he goes on this completely unacceptable and DEEPLY insulting rant !! *Apparently, caring ABOUT people DYING because one of the WORST and most SEVERE droughts in decades are leaving people with NO FOOD and near 40,000 children under 5 in "imminent risk" of DYING from ACCUTE MALNUTRITION requires having "an agenda" to @tomceze ??? And if you had EVER even bothered to spent 5-10 minutes reading up on my background either on my blog on or the thousands of references to my name and bios on Google you would have known this, just as you would ALSO have known that I have been covering coffee in Uganda since over 30 years and regularly visiting coffee growers across southern, central and western Uganda since 1996 - have you?? @Muganzisecure , @CoffeeHoneyCoop , @enothMbeine , @salimo_paul , @GKatabazi , @judeutd2828 , @reignhigh, @Lorozco101 , @AtweyorekireVi1 , @nadezka5 , @chejomilo , @yseo_miquizytl , @JULCAOR , @Chiaps71 , @rkabushenga , @collinskimanth2 , @pkimaryo, @anandpraka21865 , @ToledoEr , @johnfg1234 , @JackieAkampwera , @FredrikEJohans2 , @Vishwanathvat , @MarvinR39550814 anyone here please care to comment? *My MAIN and DRIVING FORCE ever since writing my very first article on #coffee over 32 years ago directly from the #coffee fields in Vietnam's Central Highlands and since covering #KC and working as a financial journalist in IMPOVERISHED developing countries across the globe since nearly 35 years has ALWAYS been to GIVE A VOICE to the 40 million mostly tiny and micro SMALL-HOLDER #coffee growers and their families and the TENS OF MILLIONS more depending on coffee #KC #CAFE production across the world for their daily SURVIVAL in miserable conditions from day workers to pickers and everybody else in the global coffee value chain !! This is the CORE BASIS of being a good journalist that formed the basis for my LIFE WORK to offer #coffee growers across what is mostly the world's most MISERABLE and most HIGHLY IMPOVERISHED parts of the Earth a VOICE to at least ONCE in this life be able to tell and share their side of the story, a story which by 99.5% of the ENITRE #KC market narrative is STILL IGNORED !! Tom, your comment here goes WAY over the line, not only as MASSIVELY INSULTING, but borderline SMEAR CAMPAIGN, and why, because I actually and genuinely CARE ?? Were is YOUR CONCERN for the 3.5 MILLION COFFEE grower households in Uganda? I realize it may be hard for somebody like you who clearly only cares about making money under the cover of being a "coffee grower" in a region home to less than 2-3% of Uganda's annual coffee harvest in a good year for YOU and I do understand that you and many of my HATERS here and in #KC forums has a hard time understanding my burning passion for coffee and for the COFFEE GROWERS - but that is THEIR problem and this does NOT give you or anyone else the right to throw insults at my work and name in this manner. I have spent an average 70% of my own VERY MEAGER freelance earnings during my 32 years covering the global coffee industry since I first got involved with coffee !! Even to RAISE the question in this way - clearly ASSUMING that I am somehow PAID to have "an agenda" is beyond insulting - there are SO many other ways you could have asked, and even more so without obviously having reached your own conclusion before even asking !! The second part of your message means absolutely NOTHING to me since you clearly had made up your mind before EVER even reaching out to me !! Please Tom @tomceze, don't EVER comment on anything in my feed again unless you have something POSITIVE to contribute. And since you obviously have ZERO PROBLEMS with drought and you have SO MUCH money from #KC and your farms please start SHARING SOME OF YOUR WEALTH with the 95-98% of Uganda #coffee farmers who are going through EXTREME suffering because of what is WELL REPORTED to be a NATIONWIDE drought, start sharing SEEDLINGS with growers in central and southern Uganda and please also make FOOD CONTRIBUTIONS since you obviously have no problems where you are !! Once you do this and have pictures of ACTUALLY doing something good for the Uganda coffee farmers I welcome you to rejoin the discussion here - until that, do NOT comment and feel free to unfollow if you disagree. The only one with an anti-grower agenda here seems to be you, SHAME ON YOU @tomceze because YOU would not have ANY BUSINESS to profit from if not from the very same growers you seem to not care for at all, even when people are DYING from the ongoing #coffee drought in Uganda !!

And instead of helping those who come after them,as they were once helped themselves, these pioneers become the middlemen of the powerful draining those beneath them and passing their blood upward, until the wealth created at the bottom flows all the way to the top of the pyramid

The drought in Uganda is heartbreaking... It reminds me of Vietnam’s 2015 El Niño drought, when coffee trees across many regions dried up and died from extreme heat and water shortages. I vaguely remember EU aid for coffee farmers back then—but somehow, it never reached us. 😡
*BREAKING #KC UGANDA DROUGHT: Massive damage to Uganda's new 2026-27 #coffee harvest is now ALSO CONFIRMED in the southern-most border region with Tanzania where #Robusta trees are "wilting" and leaving farmers without crops and income to sustain their families; -"Early this week, driving towards Mutukula border town in Kyotera District, I witnessed something that stopped me in my tracks and I felt a real sense of helplessness and worry!," write Enoth Mbeine in a heart breaking comment on LinkedIn, adding; -"Coffee gardens are wilting under the weight of a prolonged drought. As a coffee tree struggles for survival, so does the household that depends on its harvest." *The #KC market needs to take notice, the already over 6-month-long SEVERE DROUGHT coupled with EXTREME HEAT from what is one of the most powerful EL NINO's EVER to hit the world is affecting the new 2026-27 coffee crop ACROSS THE WORLD and causing IRRERVERSIBLE LOSSES from which growers will NOT BE ABLE TO RECOVER until in any meaningful way until 2029-30, and higher prices MUST BE PAID, to the pro-bears and haters out there, NO this is not about me just trying to support the farmers, but without them there would be NO #coffee to enjoy and NO #KC market to profit from !! linkedin.com/posts/enoth-mbe…

The drought and forest fires in Indonesia are real! The smoke from the wildfires in Indonesia has even reached remote coffee-growing areas in Vietnam... The air quality here is suffocating, and the heat is unbearable...

Yesterday, I was in Kassanda meeting coffee farmers and honestly, I left the gardens with a heavy heart. You could see how badly the prolonged dry season had hit their coffee but what hurt me most was listening to the farmers talk about what they are losing. I could see the pain in their faces and for some even tears in their eyes. These are people who invested their savings, labour and years of waiting into coffee only to watch the weather put everything at risk. Climate change is no longer a discussion for the future. It is happening in our coffee gardens today. But as I walked through those gardens, I kept asking myself: Where are the subsidised irrigation systems? What climate adaptation projects are actually reaching these farmers? How many farmers can afford to buy irrigation equipment or access bank credit at the current cost of borrowing? We cannot keep telling farmers to adapt when we haven’t made adaptation affordable and accessible to them. Sometimes I wonder whether we are talking about climate change in the wrong places. We cannot keep holding climate change conferences in expensive hotels, producing beautiful reports and making powerful commitments while the farmer who is supposed to benefit from all these conversations is standing in a dry coffee garden wondering what they will harvest. Climate solutions must leave the conference rooms and reach the villages. They must reach Kassanda, reach the coffee garden and reach the farmer. And this is not just about one farmer. Uganda is losing enormous potential income from these changing weather patterns and Uganda as a whole is at risk. We can talk about the ambition of reaching 20 million bags of coffee but how do we get there if the farmers producing the coffee are struggling to keep their trees alive? We need action now affordable irrigation, water harvesting, climate-smart technologies, resilient coffee varieties, stronger extension services and financing designed around the realities of smallholder farmers. Government, development partners, financial institutions, researchers and the private sector must move beyond commitments and put resources where the problem actually is: in the farmers’ gardens. Because yesterday in Kassanda, I didn’t see climate change in a PowerPoint presentation. I saw it in the coffee trees. I saw it in the farmers’ faces. And I saw it in their tears. Let’s stop talking about climate solutions only in hotels. Let’s take them to the farmer. For God and my country

After the droughts and the late rainy season, we’re now facing flooding… Growing coffee is becoming increasingly difficult as the weather becomes more extreme. A video shared by a coffee farmer in Gia Lai, Vietnam.

Weapons(2026)
Bank of America VP Erin Piacenti was fatally stabbed to death yesterday in “random stabbing Attack” by this woman… I saw this yesterday.. didn’t think it was relevant until now. NOW, I’m convinced it wasn’t random at all. Professional hits rarely look like they do in the movies. They are often staged to appear random. The attack hits a group so it seems chaotic, but it’s aimed at one sole person. Everyone else is cover—meant to hide the true target and send people looking in the wrong direction. Someone wanted the Bank of America VP dead. And The attacker conveniently suicided herself by cop. Can’t talk now.
