Some thoughts on the mess at Manchester United, including the crisis of leadership throughout. The only blameless people are the fans. #MUFC

Thing is with #MUFC, the people who have the power to sack people are actually the people who need to be sacked.

In short, United were considering Amorim as one of the options to replace Ten Hag but decided not go fo for him, then decided not to replace Ten Hag at all, only to sack him 3 months later and go for Amorim, in addition to sacking the director of football who wanted to bring Howe instead of Amorim, then sacked Amorim a year later and thought about hiring Nagelsmann, but since he was unavailable, went for Carrick, who himself might be on the verge of getting sacked a year later, only for the club to go back to Howe, even though the guy they wanted after Amorim is now available. The way this has been going, a decision to offer another contract to Ten Hag would not come as a massive surprise. Elite planning and execution, best in class.

£9m seems a lot when you could just pull out the irrefutable body of evidence but what do I know? 🤷🏻‍♂️
🚨BREAKING: Manchester City HIRE world-leading FRAUD LAWYER, Mark Howard, in their battle against the Premier League. Howard received £9M, reportedly the highest brief fee EVER paid to a barrister, for a separate case in 2023. His past clients include Roman Abramovich and Elton John.

Some men today still think handwashing is insane
In 1847, Ignaz Semmelweis suggested that Doctors wash their hands between handling dead bodies and helping mothers give birth. He was branded as insane and died in a lunatic asylum.

Blimey. You think you’ve seen it all and then someone equates Man City in the Mansour era with Nelson Mandela. 😂
Replying to @sportingintel
Nelson Mandela was found guilty didn't make him wrong

🇾🇪 JJ Gabriel wanting to leave isn’t that much of a shock to me… I said last season he wouldn’t be sticking around for long, although I did expect him to have at least 1 proper season with the first team. The writing was on the wall and here’s why. 🔴 If you recall, he actually tried to leave last year, but the club somehow managed to convince him - and by “him” I don’t mean a 15 year old kid, but his family and his agent - to stay 🔴 I’d seen the stories about his dad being a handful and a nightmare to deal with. Today, they’ve resurfaced. Now, this being social media, you don’t know how accurate they are. But I’d read these things about him before there were any issues or rumours about JJ leaving. The timing of it all is also awful. Is this the doing of a 15 year old? Absolutely not. It’ll be the family, the agent or both putting the club under pressure to get what they want. This is when you and I as fans have to be careful about who we channel our anger towards. And it certainly shouldn’t be the kid. The club shouldn’t have allowed it to reach this point. And I hope they didn’t give him any preferential treatment the first time his camp threatened to leave. If they did, it’s not surprising that they’re trying again. And if the dad is as troublesome as we’re hearing, you can almost guarantee that even if he does another u-turn and keeps JJ at United, there will be more problems down the road. At the end, it’s just incredibly sad to see all this happening around a talented 15 year old. We’ve all seen what happens to a generational talent who’s surrounded by idiots. Ravel Morrison was the first name I thought of when I read this news. I really hope JJ doesn’t suffer the same fate. #MUFC #JJGabriel #ManchesterUnited

Ed Sheeran should fire whoever helped write that soulless statement. Doubling down on "I’m not political" doesn't wash when you raised money for Ukraine, filmed solidarity videos and went to Kyiv. He found his voice then but just chosen not to find it for Palestine. And blaming Macklemore's removal on venue owners while refusing to take a stand himself is peak cowardice. Loser.

JJ Gabriel is a 15 year old kid so clearly the people around him are making these kind of decisions for him. Utd are far from perfect but walking out of Utd because you’re not playing in the Champions League is clearly ridiculous, I feel sorry for the kid in a way. It’s not just about having the ability to play at this level, it’s about having the mental capacity to deal with everything that happens off the field. Whoever is advising JJ is doing more harm to him than any other football club could. The kid isn’t even old enough to share a changing room for the first team.

🎙️Ruben Amorim | December 2025: “Players, the kids, they feel ENTITLED. They feel free to respond to the manager with a picture, my office is open, NOBODY is coming to talk to me. I think it’s the feeling of ENTITLEMENT we have at our club. And sometimes strong words are not bad words, sometimes difficult moments are NOT bad things for the kids. That’s why you guys talk about a lot of players nowadays that they speak and they go against the clubs, because they feel ENTITLEMENT. And then you have legends saying that: 'If you DON'T play then LEAVE' because everyone ELSE is WRONG. Instead, let's think about: 'Let's STAY, let's FIGHT. Let's overcome, maybe the manager is wrong.' So I have that feeling all the time that we need to FIGHT against that feeling. And again, sometimes I'm the first one to say that I'm failing this club inside the pitch. I have that feeling, we are not performing the way we should be. But OUTSIDE the pitch, I GUARANTEE you, I'm NOT failing this club. The players sometimes forget about what it means to play for Manchester United. We as a club sometimes forget who are ARE.

I don’t care what you say, we did everything right by him and were willing to continue that even at his age, and this is a strange decision if true. Watch the company you keep, JJ 😤
