A 6B SPELL peg fund emptied, 8B SPELL minted, and treasury assets moved toward exchanges. @MIM_Spell’s treasury-backed wind-down estimates 4 cents per MIM. Transfers are traceable; the investigation’s records lack reconciliation. Whose wind-down is this?

DeFi lending treats a $50M institutional allocator the same as a $500 wallet.
Same parameters and collateral risk, despite vastly different diligence, risk controls, and position management.
That changes on September 8, when we launch the Compound Institutional Market.
Early access is filling up fast. Grab a spot while you can.

First, they liquidated everyone on Oct. 10th. Then they started a nonstop dump to force panic selling. Next, every asset pumped while crypto dumped to new lows. After that, they pushed crypto into the most boring sideways action ever. Just when 99% left crypto and shorts piled up by confident bears, Bitcoin pumped +$17,000 and liquidated $5 billion worth of shorts in a week, the largest ever in history.
If you look closely, you’ll know this was the biggest institutional manipulation and price suppression we have ever seen.

Bitcoin crashed from $126,000 to $60,000.
And while crypto traders were getting murdered:
Gold went from roughly $2,000 to a $5,595 ATH.
Micron TRIPLED this year.
Sandisk went up 500%+ this year.
AI stocks printed fortunes.
The S&P kept making records.
SpaceX walked into the market and raised $75 BILLION at a $1.77 TRILLION valuation.
Investor demand?
MORE THAN $250 BILLION.
Do you understand what that tells you?
THERE IS MONEY EVERYWHERE.
U.S. household wealth is above $181 TRILLION.
Stocks have become one of the biggest wealth machines in America.
Everyone who caught AI, chips, gold and stocks is sitting on profits.
And Bitcoin spent months getting completely fucking destroyed.
Perfect.
Because now the rotation has started.
BTC:
$60K → $70K → almost $80K.
More than 20% in two days.
Bitcoin ETFs just took in roughly $1.6 BILLION in four days.
Trump is openly pushing crypto legislation.
The SEC is opening the door to a friendlier crypto framework.
M2 is above $23 TRILLION.
Yet bears are telling me:
“Bitcoin will need six months.”
“Bitcoin will need a year.”
A YEAR FOR WHAT?
It does not need six months to hit $125,000.
I think it can happen in 30 DAYS.
$125,000 BITCOIN.
WITHIN A MONTH.
YOU ARE STILL NOT BULLISH ENOUGH.
You do not liquidate $4,000,000,000 in $BTC shorts during a simple bear market rally.
Study.
MMs build short delta to eventually take it once the bear market is over. We just printed a 25% weekly candle and broke above essentially every significant level that mattered.
If we were truly still in a bear market, we shouldn't have had this move. Bear market retests are typically shallow, controlled, and designed to protect short exposure. Instead, we completely obliterated shorts.
That is exactly why the probability of trending back down to a new low in Q4 looks extremely unlikely, incentive-wise, structurally, and fundamentally.
A lot of people will probably revenge short after getting blown out. It happens every cycle. They’ll convince themselves the move is "just another bear market rally" because accepting the structural shift is harder than fighting it.
Ignore anyone telling you that you shouldn’t be bullish.
Structure has already confirmed the shift. The positioning has been reset. Shorts have been blasted out of the market.
You don’t do that in a sustained bear market.
In a real bear market, you protect the shorts, encourage increasingly aggressive short positioning, and let the market grind lower.
Instead, we just saw the opposite.
Shorts were encouraged.
Short delta became enormous.
The market broke higher.
And then the entire positioning structure was squeezed into oblivion. That is not how a bear market behaves. That is how a trend transition begins.

You can't help but laugh at the irony-
1) Trump elected as the crypto president.
2) Trump pulls in $1.4 BILLION in crypto profits in 2025 from grift/scams/bribes.
3) Crypto legislature gets to the 1-yard line in Senate.
4) Dems are so pissed at how egregious the Trump grift/scams/bribes are, they want real teeth in the ethics provisions of the bill.
5) Trump refuses. Only agrees to super light ethics provisions.
6) Bill can't pass. Crypto legislature dies on the floor.
The "crypto president" clears $1.4bn in crypto grift/scams/bribes (in year 1) and doesn't pass a crypto bill.
Honestly exactly what the crypto industry deserves.

Now that you can read this, here's what changed over the past few months:
@ambire is the best wallet, Rabby still great.
@ether_fi has the best crypto card, no competition, even if @MikeSilagadze refuses to giv me VIP status.
Sadly, Zeal is slowly winding down,
@getrebind is an awesome alternative if you have a Gnosis Pay card.
ENS got taken over, .gwei domains are the new cool ones.
Many projects that raised in 2021 cycle and previous ones that failed to find PMF are winding down; it's not sad, it's a healthy consolidation, a new generation will come.
As an investor, be aware that no bull market will resurrect a token of a dead project; inspect your bags and accept parting ways, many zombies out there slowly eating their treasury before eventually winding down.
DeFI is now entirely split into two paths,
The dominant one is OpFi (Open Finance): bend the knee to TradFi and become part of the current system. "Become a tool for the banks." It's the Morpho vision.
The other is DeFi in the original sense, an actual paradigm shift toward decentralized finance.
"Beat the banks at their own game."
It's losing momentum right now, but it's why I've spent over a decade in this madhouse.
The comeback story will be legendary.
It's still early.

Yesterday I flagged that 13 Korean companies were listed as OUSD partners. Today there’s a significant caveat: several of them say they never actually agreed to anything.
OUSD (Open USD) is a dollar stablecoin from the Open Standard consortium, unveiled June 30 with a planned launch this year and 140+ global finance and payment firms listed — Visa, Mastercard, BlackRock, plus the Korean names.
But Samsung Electronics said flatly there was no formal discussion and it doesn’t know what role it would play. Shinhan, Dunamu, and K Bank said Open Standard asked about participation, they said they’d “consider it,” and then found their names listed as consortium members.
One company rep said they learned they were included from Korean news coverage and were baffled, having only casually replied “we’ll look at it if it works out.”
