one of the key things i looked for in my next role was creative freedom and a strong team culture built on collaboration, trust, and clear communication.
i was very intentional about what i wanted and the kind of people i wanted to ship with.

Absolutely correct, this is why you need a trusted authority with trained eyes to give guidance and not design by democracy.
You would be making a digital Frankenstein.

october marked my last month at @coderabbitai, and i couldnโt be more proud of the work i got to do alongside some truly incredible people.
my time here taught me so much on ownership, designing and shipping data intensive product in an agentic era.
i wrote about everything i got to ship with the team in the thread.
now a new journey begins!
Just imagine what they did to my boy ๐ญ
More matches at the age of 22 than Lionel Messi. 87 Premier League games in a row.
Bukayo Sakaโs injury issues should come as no real surprise.
Years of overplaying and poor recruitment - Arsenal are facing the inevitable consequences.

Gets easier to see when privilege speaks on here about recent situations in tech / design. Usually in that bashful, condescending tone.
Not surprising to me, you almost can tell these guys haven't interacted with designers or juniors outside their circles in months. They have no idea how worse things have gotten / (will get).
They assume "getting with the program" is enough nowadays. An extra skill, an extra update. Truth is, doesn't actually matter anymore.
Where privilege and resources speak, reason often go unoticed.
I am inclined to just quietly enjoy my current artsy disposition and build a community of like-minded craftsmen but once in a while, I realise how important it is to call echo reality.
On the flip side, it does seem people are addicted to the pandemonium.

Omg yes! Everyone keeps talking about how theyโve stopped using certain tools and outsourced everything to AI agents, as if the goal is to remove yourself from the process entirely. But I feel the exact opposite
โdesigning much faster than the othersโ โ this so daft and makes it clear they donโt understand design at all. โDesigning fastโ (or slow) is just not a thing. If you conflate โproducing ui by piecing together stuffโ and โdesignโ then the former (which is a form of assembly-line practice) can surely be fast or slow.
What makes the practice of design challenging is not how to put a ui or poster together, itโs what the pieces are, what the message is, what is being communicated, how it all works together.
So many of todayโs โdesignโ AI tools focus almost exclusively on the production part, on putting stuff together. Iโd love to see an AI design tool that forms a deep understanding of a problem over the course of days or months and works like a creative partner. Call me on my bullshit, thinks about the whole, isnโt concerned really about the final arrangement of elements as much as it would understand the story and the message.
Kai and Gyokeres are not good enough. We need better attackers. Our defense and midfield wonโt save us for long.
