Google is a company to watch in this space. All blockchain initiatives at Google are driven by the Google Cloud team and include running a private blockchain network (GCUL) for CME and several banks. As banks wade deeper into the stablecoin/tokenized deposit space, Google Cloud could be a high quality and low risk option for many of them. Offering an MPC service is a logical next step.
Algorand has a window of opportunity around PQ, but the window is narrow and time-bound. As Google's private network scales, it will need a bridge to the public blockchain space. Can Algorand offer a PQ-ready State Proof based solution?
Before pitching banks, Google put its new multi-party custody service to work on Alphabet's ETH and SOL, the company said. Price: undisclosed. Wider release: early 2027.
