Your weekend reminder that Nigel Farage wants to
- leave the ECHR
- repeal the Equality Act
- Strip back workers rights
- Lift restrictions on exploitative zero-hours contracts
- repeal the Renters’ Rights Act which abolishes “no fault evictions”
He is not on your side
Nigel Farage and Reform UK want to
- leave the European Convention on Human Rights which protects our right to protest, our right to privacy, our right to fair trials and so much more
- repeal the Equality Act - a key piece of legislation that prevents against discrimination in Britain
- Strip back workers rights
- Lift restrictions on exploitative zero-hours contracts and Legalize "fire and rehire" tactics
- repeal the Renters’ Rights Act which abolishes “no fault evictions” that allow landlords to remove tenants without giving a reason and introduces new duties over health hazards
and to sell all this to the country Farage offers nothing in return but grievance and division. PLEASE DON’T FALL FOR IT.
That anyone could be supporting Farage and Reform with these policies must surely be a damning indictment of UK media in failing to explain all this to the public

💧 The UK isn’t running out of water. We’re running out of excuses for failing to protect it.
Households are being told to use less water while water companies leak nearly 3 BILLION litres every day. Meanwhile, businesses hold licences allowing them to abstract trillions of litres from our rivers, lakes and aquifers.
And while Thames Water teeters under nearly £20bn of debt, it somehow found £1m for its new finance chief’s signing-on payment. You couldn’t make it up.
👉🗞️ Writing in today’s Daily Express, our Head of Campaigns Amy Fairman lays bare why drought, leaking pipes, sewage, over-abstraction and agricultural pollution aren’t separate crises - they’re symptoms of the same broken system.

Well done @Feargal_Sharkey for calling out the privatised water companies on #r4today 🔥
"They leak over a TRILLION litres of water per year"
I think people are happy to be part of the solution - once they're not being ripped off by privatisation

Why do Lefties despise the Right?
Well it started with Thatcher & then the Miner's strike, destroying UK industry, Privatisation, Grenfell, Windrush, #Brexit, the NHS, expenses scandals, tax evasion, corruption, Covid deaths, countless fraud & 50yrs of lies upon lies.
That's why.

.@Skynews eagerly promising to bring us Jenrick's Reform press conference on welfare "Live" this morning.
WHY?
Reform are not in power, they have a mere 8 MPs, and an election is not due for another 3 years.
Why are they incessantly platformed like this?

Just heard BBC news lead with Reform policy proposal. How is that editorial decision justified three years out from an election for a party that is a) not the official opposition b) has eight seats in parliament c) is no longer leading the polls? Free publicity as usual.
So it’s finally out there - Post Office executives were paid bonuses for each of their Sub-Postmasters they managed to get convicted. That’s how private prosecutors frequently work - whether on the trains or elsewhere. Their denials made them look more dishonest to me and others.

Water bills set to rise for many after firms permitted extra funding bbc.in/4wsOMq5
On what planet are we living where the taxpayer is subsidizing profits for £millionaire shareholders, while our waterways are full of shit and we can't afford to live????????????????
Where is the investment?
Where are the reservoirs?
We ALL know where the corruption is.
Water companies have been given the green light to increase bills for customers by an extra £3.4bn in coming years to meet increased pressures on infrastructure and the environment.

Hey @andyburnham - why do you refuse to nationalise the failing water industry?
£78,000,000,000 in profit since privatisation - and not a single new reservoir.

Sewage. It’s a gross scam. You alone have the power to end it - why don’t you?

People will ask WHY do they load companies with debt.
The answer is very simple, there is no tax on paying 'debts' and the people and companies collecting the 'debt' are located in Tax Havens.
It means they pay no tax at all.

Now we're talking. I see Thames Water have upped the ante by claiming it will cost £140bn to nationalise the industry.... 🤣🤣🤣 oh how we laughed.
