We’ve reported this to Discord and are preparing evidence for cybercrime/law enforcement.
We’re asking Discord to preserve call logs, screen-share metadata, DM history, account/session data, and security signals connected to the attacker.
This should be treated as a security incident.
Use a separate clean device for calls.
Use hardware wallets.
Keep project wallets away from Discord/browser machines.
Never store seed phrases on your PC.
Treat voice calls and screen shares as attack surfaces, not harmless conversations.
If you run a crypto project, game, NFT project, or community:
Do not take random Discord calls from “whales.”
Do not screen share your main machine.
Do not open wallets during calls.
Do not keep hot wallets on your work PC.
Do not trust someone because they show a balance.
The red flags were there:
Someone offering money just to talk.
Someone forcing urgency.
Someone repeatedly pushing VC.
Someone showing big balances on stream.
Someone saying “don’t send links” to look safe.
Someone trying to move everything away from text.
Do not ignore this pattern.
We are not saying with 100% certainty that Discord itself was exploited.
That needs proper investigation.
But based on the timeline and the attacker’s behavior, this was either:
a call-triggered exploit,
a call-coordinated compromise,
or an attack built around Discord voice/screen-share.
No links clicked.
No downloads.
No wallet connect.
No seed/private key shared.
The only real-time interaction was Discord call/screen-share.
During the conversation, he screen-shared wallets, casino balances, Gmail, crypto pages, and Phantom.
He showed “money” multiple times to build trust.
The goal was clear:
make us believe he was a real whale and push us into a real-time call environment.
