Weeks 4-6 Recap: The Swing Change
Week 4 I went to the doctor to check out my shoulder issue, which was diagnoses as a shoulder impingement. Got some treatment and started doing exercises.
Knew I wasn't going to feel good for a while, so I decided to focus on making a change to my swing which would help by speed: better pressure shift. I did this by overexaggerating the move in slo-mo and then faster.
I felt mostly better by end of Week 6 but didn't get to practice as much as I wanted because my 2nd son was born. Week 7 I'm back to chasing.

Week 1 Recap:
Worked out MWF at 5 AM using FFG
Tuesday and Thursday 5 AM Stack
Tuesday and Thursday 8 PM 30+ drivers
Didn’t do Saturday stack or drivers due to fatigue
Max CHS improved to 120.8
Takeaway - I was gassed by end of the week. Felt like I was back in college. Also was not getting much sleep. emailed @Fit_For_Golf towards the middle and he recommended I reduce the swinging load (do either Stack or drivers) and do those right before I workout so I have 48 hours of recovery

Everyone athlete dreams of having the pressure on and securing the win for their team. We talked with @JMButler2020 after he finished off the final match for @AuburnMGolf to win a National Championship.

At the Butch Harmon Floridian, @ryancrysler works with top players.
Their innovative approach is to have a team of instructors and then teach players (including pros) as a team (team practices, etc.) - allowing them to see students compete.

Used to be Fairlife milk drinker. Switched to raw milk and never going back.
Usually have a glass or mix w/ protein powder after practicing in the evening.
4. Back to Point #2 and Hole #3. Stats show (from @LouStagner) that closer is generally better no matter the pin on #3 at Augusta. There may be adjustments to the data that could change things (remove old, past champions and unintentional layups in bad spots), but the disparity is so large that the change would have to be pretty significant to make them net-neutral. Again, players may not want to because it "feels" like an uncomfortable shot, but overcoming uncomfortable shots is not uncommon for them and is a skill
Great talk with @cicioCASTRO on what it takes to be on the Tour. He told us about how he implemented a specific gameplan (listen to the episode) and felt that helped him get to Top 100 after struggling for a bit.

An instructor that can make things make sense is important - that's why we talked with @mfinneygolf. Mike does a great job at knowing a lot and explaining what is necessary for a student in their swing. Hope you enjoy!
