Honestly, I don't think I've experienced a game that's this ambitious before. This moment here actually cemented to me the fact that not only does this game have a layer of depth that I simply was not expecting, but that for the time this game was made, the ambition astonishing. Anyways, this is my first time playing and this is my true, raw, real reaction of the true first time of me having played this, and I have to say that I cannot wait to see what the end of this game brings me, because I know that it's only part one of a very long journey of a franchise that is more than just three games.

Mass Effect 1 is in many ways a better and more interesting game and rpg than Mass Effect 2 is and yet I’m replaying 1 I’m in the back of my mind wanting to get through it faster so I can get to 2

How are these things calculated? Like i feel like no one would go all the way on either side.
Less than 10% of players chose the Renegade path in Mass Effect.

Everyone trying to #SaveMassEffect, while I'm still mourning over Dragon Age. Where was the #SaveDragonAge, where is it. If BioWare REALLY (I'll believe it when I see it) was cooking a banger of a new ME like everyone alleges, then they could have rebooted Dragon Age too... I'm coping, I know, Veilguard caused irreparable harm...

According to Mass Effect's technical director Romain Toutain, yesterday he was at BioWare and some seniors were still there, trying to help juniors find work. They were opening BW's storage to keep collectors items and original concept art too. Hand thing called Billy by devs 🥲

Romain Toutain revealed more about Mass Effect 5/Universe (this one really stings): ✨"The Shepard" was customizable and could do same moves in real combat as trailer ✨Everything in game was "stateful" ✨All choices from 1-3 taken into account ✨Called Universe so you could plug your saves together to create parallel universes (simplified explanation) but you could almost generate timelines similar to Zero Time ✨You could make decisions that might contradict things you've already done and so it would create plot "points" in the timeline ✨Missions didn't fail because you killed someone, paths would remain open (it worked well) ✨Absolute autonomy was the cornerstone of the game ✨No two players would experience the same thing, would have "experienced the same story but differently" ✨"EA never sells anything. they just shut things down and sit on their licenses" ✨Barman was a new race ✨Lore was incredible around new mass relays ✨"Billy" the hand thing might have generated tentacles ✨Was an idea for sharing your saves ✨He says it was fucking amazing it was an absolute banger and we would have loved it. The people at BioWare were brilliant FUCK Source - bsky.app/profile/loustica-lu…

At our very first TGA, Bioware took home Game of the Year for Dragon Age: Inquisition. Mark Darrah and Aaryn Flynn accepted the award LIVE on-stage in Las Vegas.

PS5 users are reporting that some physical games are asking for a system update before they can be played. Several players have shown their consoles asking for an update when they try to launch games from a disc. This is really concerning about physical games becoming dependent on PS5 firmware updates, even when players already own the disc.

She isn't just stupid. She's a fake fan. Liara literally tells Shepard the asari don't have a gender and just use she/her pronouns because its easier for other species. They don't care. What MEA did was just reveal that (who would have guessed) some prefer different pronouns.
She is genuinely too fucking stupid to discuss these games

And there it is. I had said that if they really wanted to, they could use a firmware update to push restrictions on physical games. That physical games were a license just like digital. People said I was crazy. All it took was messing with their bottom line.

I've been told that BioWare devs attempted to buy out the studio and Mass Effect IP before it was all shuttered but EA showed no interest in a deal. I appreciate that they tried. It seems like they all knew they were cooking up something great. #bioware #masseffect

Dragon Age II was developed in less than a year and a half. With that in mind, it’s a borderline masterpiece.

take one look at veilguard's artbook, at all the amazing ideas the devs had and were forced to scrap because ea forced them to remake the game from scratch more than once. do not blame it on the people working there because "they made a bad game", these devs are troopers

BioWare has always inspired us, and it's hard to say goodbye to our idols. Thank you for everything, @BioWare. Many of us wouldn’t be in the games industry without your legacy.

Seriously though, Taash's OG design was *amazing*, and it's utterly criminal that it was completely destroyed along the way for the design we ended up with it. They were probably a much better character at that stage of planning to.
Replying to @JakeVT121
Taash is honestly a prime example of how to never write a character, period. Even their design went to hell during development, with the early concept art being great by comparison. But I do find it weird that's the be-all-to-end-all for most folks with Veilguard, given the rest
