The more I do this the more I realize that simplicity rules in the markets if you want to make money. For retail traders the edge is almost always having a very specific core strategy. Sitting out when it's not working and going in heavy when it is.
Simplicity is one of the most difficult things to do in all walks of life. We need constant reminders all the time to just keep things simple.
There are a few people on X who constantly keep things simple. They make it look like an artform.
Every time I take a great trade it basically always has the same criteria, same chart look, same characteristics. When I take bad trades it's almost always due to overthinking or over complicating things.
I constantly have to remind myself to seek out simplicity in my approach to the markets. It's what all the greats have done. It's simple but it's not easy.

if you only have a watchlist of 15-20 names and call them market leaders
you will never find new market leadership
Note:
1) this type of market creates doubt in your process
2) this type of market promotes overtrading
3) this market is more algo driven & “creates transactions” by pushing stocks to high/low edges
Solution: do nothing. Don’t play the game because you don’t have an edge.

Note how many technology sector stocks hitting new 52 week highs this week.... always good to see the 52 Week Highs lists contain more technology stocks and not be dominated by only Energy and Healthcare sector stocks!

Everyone's overcomplicating this market with breadth indicators.. block out the noise, focus on leading names in leading themes.
By the time breadth improves, the good entries are gone and you're chasing your tail.
Or it’s right and you know you’ve got to sit on your hands again for a few weeks, either way it’s a win, win.

Always remember that the goal is to make money, not be right. If a setup fails, move on... to the next one.
Look at historical price action. What do you notice before price moves? Any tendencies? Can you duplicate that in a scan? Then fine tune.
Always something setting up

NVIDIA is down 6 straight days for 37th time since its IPO. But, this is the ONLY time $NVDA stock wasn’t in a 10%+ correction.
In other words, this is the dumbest 6-day down streak ever for the most AI-centric stock. Isn’t this a sign of just how strong this bull market is?

This is not rocket science. Keep it simple. Know when to go big, go small or not at all. Stop over complicating. Your process needs to be Consistent, repeatable and scalable.

human psychology:
the more a position moves in people's favor the more likely they are to update their beliefs.
shorting $SPCX below 150, 140 etc i get it.
but when it gets down to 100 and you become super bearish that is wrong.
now you pay the price.
