This is a place I gotta visit. The football product is one thing, the George Washington fan and history buff in me helps my interest, too.

Every AD will tell you that athletics has the unique ability to serve as the front porch to an institution to tell a story.
Moments like these extend well beyond the fields of friendly strife. They are opportunities to showcase our cadets, tell the West Point story, bring our community together, and share our mission with millions across the country.
And why “Public Engagement” is a key pillar of our “Fruits of Victory” strategic plan.
See you at West Point!

📍University of Alabama. I took a walk thru campus and around the athletic facilities. The context I gather just from a walk on a campus goes a long way, which is why I do these stops when the opportunity comes up.
I can’t drive thru Alabama without stopping at UA. It’s a Sunday but if you’re around, @Greg_Byrne, it would be great to say hey to a former Higher Ed Athletics podcast guest. One hour out.
Due to car trouble on our trip back from Tampa to Indy, my wife and kids flew home and I’m now driving the van back solo. Staying night in Tallahassee and going to explore some Alabama schools tomorrow on the long haul home.
The thing I don’t like about hearing the referees & conference replay command centers is the amount of groupthink that goes on. The guy talking for that review basically convinced them all it was clear as day when it sure didn’t seem like it.

I had no idea a guy named Josh Pate created the show Outer Banks. I wonder if @JoshPateCFB has ever met him.
Way to go @EricCGeorge

The deal is considered one of the most lucrative in the Group of 6. Interim Rice AD Eric George initiated the conversations with First Community and completed the deal for Rice.
Locally, I have recorded several episodes for a spin-off show of HEA, IN Town Athletics, where I interview college & high school ADs across Indiana in person. Episode 2 is with @HanoverCollege @HanoverPanthers AD @Hanover_AD CC: @d3Playbook @D3Ticker

Experiencing Notre Dame Stadium for the first time ever tomorrow night to root on the Spartans. Taking my 10 year old and ready for whatever weather we get. Always cool to visit historic venues.
I'm getting very close to actually doing the study that I've proposed for my dissertation next month. I will be interviewing approximately 16 FBS athletic directors for the study. If those of you that follow HEA get an official invite from my student email (IU) please open it.
What a great class!
Introducing our 2026 Indiana Athletics Hall of Fame class. 👏
