Yesterday, Fatai shared an open letter to his father saying he regrets their years apart and begged for another chance to rebuild their relationship. Stressing that, he misses his father, and all that happened in the past was due to youthful exuberant and influence from his time overseas. While Nigerians have tagged Fatai the prodigal son, who perphaps got wind of his father’s unfavorable will; his daughter from the controversial marriage, who’s now over 40yrs old, said they are not poor or lacking anything. Fatai also added that, his grandmother left him some inheritance. His daughter extensively said her father, Fatai, is old and just wants closure. They are not asking for money or anything. But the emotional stress is taking a toll on her dad and it’s spilling to them, as he somehow blames them for the misfortune, even though the controversial wife is now late. But many Nigerians argued that Fatai is being misled, as he should be going through Shade Okoya, instead of vilifying her. In a recent 2026 interview, Razaq Okoya lamented how kids of these days don’t listen, or are willing to do things the old way, because they have their own ideas.
