Over the past few months, Anthropic scientists have engaged in deep research partnerships with six organizations developing new medicines. We've also begun drug discovery efforts of our own.
In doing so, we’ve learned much more about how Claude can support the many stages of drug development.
In this blog post, we share some early results from these efforts, and describe how this work fits in with our wider ambitions in the life sciences.

Bill Maher shut down the “white privilege” script on his own show.
Howie Mandel pushed him to confess it. Maher refused the term, called it advantage at best, and dropped the real numbers: most people shot by police are white.
The media narrative falls apart the second anyone checks the data. Color-blind reality beats racial guilt every time.

They include a potential return by US companies to the Russian oil market as part of wider talks to end Putin’s war, including JVs in Sakhalin and restoring the Druzhba pipeline:

the medical singularity is happening.
just look at what AI is already doing inside hospitals:
> health systems using AI the most saw ~1,000 deaths per 100K patients in 2026. the ones barely using it? still ~1,600 (a16z data)
> UC San Diego's AI sepsis model cut sepsis deaths by 17%
> in a trial of 100,000+ women in Sweden, AI-supported screening found 29% more cancers with 44% less radiologist workload
> mayo's AI spots pancreatic cancer on routine CT scans up to 3 years before doctors can
> and concurrence just launched AI agents that run inside hospitals, cutting manual intake time by 80%+ at one cancer survivorship program, with the patient data never leaving the hospital
and we are still just at the beginning of the exponential

"There are some signs, even data a week ago, when you look at some of the Anthropic data in the Ramp data set, suggesting perhaps 5.5 has hit an inflection point and there is going to be a better Q4 for them than Q3." - @eglyman
Eric Glyman reveals Ramp’s internal data on Anthropic shows signs of a better Q4 than Q3, after AI spend elasticity slid from the Jevons paradox toward one to one
“This summer, that appears to have broken. And we can debate all the reasons why. I think that there is incredible levels of price competition that is going on between the major labs."
"Open source has been effective, whether it’s in distilling or novel innovations taking place out there and putting pressures on, combined with this overarching question of have we reached saturation in intelligence among certain tasks?"
"Maybe the way to put it is it might just be that once you get to 130 IQ or some equivalent, that might be all you need to do accounting. That might be all you need to answer customer tickets, and further gains of intelligence may not be creating or inducing more demand."
"And so when you look functionally what’s happened, there’s been this period where spend has been relatively flat, and it seems when you look at elasticity, that relationship suggests it is switched from this paradox to closer to one to one."

I am shocked, absolutely shocked, that Anthropic ARR has likely gone vertical in October after they cut token prices.
Except the exact same thing happened for the entire AI market, which is why GPU rental prices have surged while token prices declined.
$100b plus in year-end ARR looks possible again.

i got curious about what dario (anthropic CEO) is predicting next, so i went through all his recent essays and interviews
if he keeps being correct, here's what our future timeline looks like:
> 2026: someone builds a $1B company with just 1 employee
> late 2026-early 2027: AI matches or beats nobel prize winners in most fields, from biology to math
> 2027: chinese AI catches up to Mythos, the model anthropic kept from the public because it's so good at hacking
> 2027-2028: AI gets better than every human at almost everything, with millions of copies running 10-100x faster than us
> 2027-2028: AI starts building the next generation of AI on its own
> 2028: AI is using 100 gigawatts of power, about a fifth of all the electricity america uses
> by 2030: AI disrupts half of all entry-level office jobs
> before 2030: AI brings in trillions of dollars a year, and the economy grows 10-20% a year
> early 2030s: cancer deaths drop 95%, alzheimer's becomes preventable, and nearly every infectious disease can be prevented or treated
> early 2030s: most mental illness, like depression and PTSD, becomes curable
> 2030s: sub-saharan africa gets as rich per person as china is today
> 2030s: the human lifespan heads toward 150

On this Israeli election day, I’d recommend reading this extraordinary @haaretzcom interview with billionaire Ronald Lauder, president of the World Jewish Congress and once one of Benjamin Netanyahu’s closest confidants.
One of Lauder’s most striking conclusions: “I realized at the end of the day that Israel really didn't want peace, but they wanted dominance.”
This is coming from someone who helped launch Netanyahu’s political career, introduced him to powerful figures in American politics and media, and secretly negotiated with Hafez al-Assad and Rafik Hariri on his behalf in the late 1990s.
In one of the interview’s biggest revelations, Lauder says Netanyahu agreed to a comprehensive peace deal with Syria and Lebanon, including withdrawal from the Golan Heights, but ultimately refused to sign it for political reasons.
“He chose politics over peace. He put his political future before the deal.”
Now 82, Lauder describes his profound disillusionment with Israel’s direction. After decades of supporting Israeli and Jewish institutions, he has sold his Tel Aviv apartment, given away his Be’er Sheva property, and says he has no intention of returning to Israel.
He warns that Netanyahu’s dependence on figures like Ben-Gvir and Smotrich is damaging Israel, alienating diaspora Jews and eroding support in Washington.
The interview is also full of fascinating details about Lauder’s role in Netanyahu’s political rise. The two became close friends in the 1980s, when Netanyahu was Israel’s ambassador to the UN, speaking almost daily at times.
Lauder says he introduced Netanyahu to speech coach Lilyan Wilder to improve his public speaking and, crucially, to Republican strategist Arthur Finkelstein, who would become instrumental in Netanyahu’s electoral success.
When Netanyahu left New York to pursue a political career in Israel, Lauder threw him a farewell party attended by some of the most influential figures in American media and politics, including Rupert Murdoch and the head of the New York Times.
Lauder recalls opening doors for Netanyahu and helping him cultivate the relationships that would underpin his rise to power.
What makes this interview so revealing is that Lauder is no longtime critic of Israel. He had been a committed Zionist, a Republican power broker, and a man who spent decades financing Jewish institutions, cultivating relationships with Arab leaders, and pursuing diplomatic openings on Israel’s behalf.
