SANCTIONED BUT STILL SAILING. 🚨
BASHT is an Iranian vessel whose owner is designated for WMD proliferation and illicit military cargo. It thought it could sneak from Chinese ports to Malaysia completely undetected.
@UANI was watching every move.

Wisdom. If the international community seeks a Yemen that is not dominated by the Houthis and Iran, engagement and support for the internationally-recognized government of Yemen must be sustained. At the same time, the performance of the government of Yemen must show that it merits international support. Media coverage of each point remains insufficient.
Replying to @AllisonMinor_
And another reminder - you also cannot solve the Yemen conflict without the Yemen Government being part of negotiations. The trend (in Washington) of viewing this solely as a Saud conflict is a troubling one that ultimately just undermines Yemeni agency

First spotted during @UANI's field mission to Malaysian EOPL on Sep 16, LPG tanker SOGL (9208227) then transited the South China Sea to Qinzhou Port, China. Yesterday, SOGL pulled into port, likely discharging its Iranian LPG cargo.

"‘They’ve got to be hurting,’ said Charlie Brown, a UANI researcher. He said that while he couldn’t say that the reserves had gone to zero, ‘it seems likely to be well on the way to close to zero.’”
@UANI calculated that "Iran’s oil exports had fallen to close to zero in August and September and that floating reserves in Southeast Asia had likely fallen to 10 million barrels or less by early October, saying the precise total was difficult to know."

For most of the war, Iran had an invaluable cushion: dozens of oil tankers holding millions of barrels of crude sitting safely in waters in Asia. Tehran steadily sold the oil to China, bringing in billions of much-needed cash. Now, it's all gone. on.wsj.com/4jvo65a

🚨 NETANYAHU DECLARES REGIME CHANGE IN IRAN AS ISRAEL’S OBJECTIVE
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:
“The Iranian regime has still not learned its lesson. Mojtaba Khamenei, the latest tyrant, has decided to follow in his father’s footsteps. He has pulled the pin, and Iran is once again trying to develop weapons of death.
There is only one way to eliminate this threat once and for all: to topple the regime in Iran. And that is the directive I have given to the IDF, the Mossad and the security services.”

No--it's the Iranian regime which has been engaged in a forever war with Israel and the United States since 1979. Some want to bury their heads in the sand, are in denial, and may want to blame Netanyahu as that's popular right now politically. But this is the reality.
Jake Sullivan on Iran and Israel:
What particularly the war in Iran highlighted is the divergence in Israel's interest from the United States.
Netanyahu has basically talked about wanting to have a forever war with Iran and he doesn't mind if the Strait of Hormuz is closed because it doesn't affect him, whereas it does matter to the American people.
"There have been periodic cycles of unrest in Sistan and Baluchistan Province over the years. What we are now witnessing is an uptick in such activity."

These calls would have happened irrespective of whether the U.S. had acted militarily or not. In fact, discussions surrounding the acquisition of a nuclear weapon were very much alive prior to the war. The main issue has not been intent—it’s been capability. The latter has been continuously weakened thanks to external action against the programme.

I think the Iranian regime risks misreading President Trump, as it has done before. He's not on the ballot personally during the midterm elections in November, so its attempts to "punish" him will have limited impact. This is different from the 1980 election. It could backfire badly for Tehran--there are 2 long years left for them under his term.
The Iranian regime also has a long history of delusions over its leverage. Some in the regime believed in 2022 that Russia's invasion of Ukraine would make the U.S. and E3 desperate to revive the JCPOA due to the disruptions in the global energy market. That turned out to be a bad bet.
And this is quite a line: "Faced with a deepening economic crisis and growing international isolation, there is increasing concern within the ranks of Iranian leadership that the country could be left unable to perform core functions like paying its security forces within a matter of months, the diplomat said."

This is the pretext Iran's regime will use to attack AI and data centers throughout the Middle East. The "Persian Gulf Data Authority" will be received in the region as well as the "Persian Gulf Strait Authority," which hasn't stopped the Iranian economy from deteriorating. The irony is Iran could be a G20 country if the Islamic Republic wasn't in power--building and investing in AI like its neighbors. Instead it's bullying with stunts like this.

This may be dismissed as propaganda aimed at the Muslim world. In reality, it’s a glimpse into the true worldview of the Islamists ruling over Iran. They envisage a global ummah, and divide the world between the Dar al-Islam and Dar al-Kufr. Iran is meaningless to them. They regard nation-states as nothing more than Westphalian constructs, and nationalism as nothing more than a propaganda tool aimed at external audiences.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian:
If Muslims sit down together, first of all, there is no such thing as an Arab country, a Turkish country or an Iranian country in this sense.
We are Muslims. We were created from a man and a woman and made into peoples and tribes.
What matters before God is piety, not whether you are Arab, Turkish or Persian.
We should sit down and follow God's commandments.
