🏆⚾ GATORADE PLAYER OF THE YEAR! ⚾🏆
A huge congratulations to Bubba Day @BubbaDay2027 being named the Nebraska Baseball Gatorade Player of the Year! 👏
We’re especially grateful that Bubba selected Play It Forward to receive his Gatorade Player of the Year grant. His support will help us continue creating opportunities for young athletes in our community to play, learn, and grow through sports. ❤️
As impressive as Bubba is on the baseball field, we’ve been even more impressed by the person he is off it. Bubba has been outstanding with our campers—bringing energy, patience, and enthusiasm while serving as a role model for the young kids he coaches.
This is exactly what Play It Forward is all about: accomplished high school athletes using sports to connect with the next generation and give back to their community.
Congratulations, Bubba! We’re incredibly thankful to have you as part of the PIF team! ⚾🙌

Bubba Day grew up in rural Kearney, Nebraska, with the dream of one day pitching in the College World Series.
His father, Damon Day, was a coach of over 20 years for the local college team, but when the University of Nebraska Kearney program was cut, it was unclear what @BubbaDay2027's future of pitching in college might look like.
This is the story of a kid from small-town America taking a leap of faith, building a relationship deeper than coaching, and getting one step closer to his ultimate goal of pitching in Omaha.
We hope you enjoy Homegrown: The Bubba Day Story.
