This is the attack our BC hero was killed in π
He was evacuating animals from this shelter
russian terrorists attacked with an FPV drone an animal shelter in Kramatorsk, causing a fire on the second floor of the building where many cats were located. After the firefighters arrived to put out the fire and help evacuate and collect the animals, a russian drone was waiting in the sky⦠after which it crashed into the fire truck as well.
Throughout the full-scale war, this shelter served as a refuge for stray animals and people with pets. The animals that were inside during the strike were carried outside, but some of them ran off into the surrounding area and got lost due to the explosion and shock.

A Russian operation made AI deepfakes of a real former student accusing James Talarico of sexual assault. The real student says "it's not me" and that Talarico "never messed with me." The video still passed 850,000 views on X in its first 24 hours.
Here's how it worked.
On October 20, an account that X lists as signed up from Romania posted the video, claiming abuse when Talarico taught middle school in San Antonio. Lead Stories reached the real Zyon Lewis, and he called it "very bad AI." Detection tools rated the videos more than 99% likely to be AI-generated.
Three research teams attribute it to Storm-1516, the same Russian operation that ran fake scandals against Tim Walz in 2024. Fifteen bot accounts shared it right away. About 12 hours later, big verified accounts reposted it, including a pro-GOP account with 185,000 followers, and it exploded. NBC calls it the most prominent example yet of foreign meddling in these midterms.
It's not the only operation. Bloomberg reviewed 130 fake videos and doctored front pages from a second Russian network, called Matryoshka, including fake ABC and CBS clips, AI videos of De Niro and Cher attacking Democrats, and a made-up claim about Jon Ossoff's properties.
On October 21, the top Democrats on both intelligence committees said a classified briefing showed Russia targeting Democrats right now.
Nobody is saying Russia changed votes. It doesn't have to. It makes the lie, and Americans spread it for free.

This is actually very dangerous for both victims and tipsters and puts the whole system at risk.
Tens of thousands of crimes have been solved thanks to these tips but people wonβt want to be at risk. π¨π¦π

Our nation and way of life face constant internal and external threats. As a soldier, my duty was to protect against these challenges, first in EOD by removing unexploded ordnance hazards, and later in Delta Force working to free those held by terrorists or hostile states. Itβs vital that we study our 250-year history to learn from our successes and our mistakes. Revisionist history deprives us of those essential lessons.

It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government canβt selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But thatβs exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.
To understand why this is so appalling, itβs important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically.
Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administrationβs fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country.
Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone β all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case.
Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And itβs not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies β from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve.
In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omarβs life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and sheβs been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota.
The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omarβs political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, thereβs no reason to believe it will stop with her β or that future presidents, in either party, wonβt do the same.

The student protests stopped after about a week because they largely achieved their objectives. The protests that more-recently caused destruction across France are quite different.
