कांग्रेस और आप-दा की सरकारों ने यमुना जी में हर रोज हजारों टन गंदगी डालकर इसे गंदे नाले में बदल दिया, वहीं मोदी जी के नेतृत्व में दिल्ली सरकार मई 2029 से पहले इसके पूर्ण शुद्धिकरण के लिए संकल्पित है। इसी दिशा में आज दिल्ली सरकार के ₹8,941 करोड़ के जल एवं सीवरेज संबंधी कार्यों का लोकार्पण एवं शिलान्यास किया। जल उपचार संयंत्र, रीसाइक्लिंग प्लांट, सीवेज ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट, सीवेज पंपिंग स्टेशन और हाउसहोल्ड सीवर कनेक्शन की इन परियोजनाओं से प्रतिदिन लाखों लीटर गंदा पानी शोधित होकर यमुना जी में पहुँचेगा। यह यमुना जी को प्रदूषण मुक्त बनाने के संकल्प को नई गति देगा।
