Do you know who to vote for in the midterms? Let me give you some help, but you decide. The Democratic Party wants open borders, while the Republican Party wants secure borders. The Democratic Party wants noncitizens to be able to vote; the Republican Party supports requiring voter ID. The Democratic Party wants to give taxpayer-funded benefits like healthcare to noncitizens; the Republican Party says No to that. And there are a hundred more issues. The choice is yours—but look prayerfully at what both parties stand for.

SHOW YOUR LOVE! 44 Years Ago, The Time dropped 777-9311 as a single from their 2nd studio album What Time Is It?. It would forever traumatize musicians, as drummers around the world spent an inordinate amount of time trying to replicate the drum track.
It was widely believed to be a stock drum track in the Linn LM-1 drum machine by Tower of Power's David Garibaldi. However, David debunked that myth in an exclusive Funkatopia interview (funkatopia.com/interviews/in…) indicating that he had nothing to do with that drum pattern. He noted that while the drum sounds may be his, he did NOT create the drum loop featured in the song.
777-9311 was also an actual phone number that belonged to guitarist Dez Dickerson and Prince loved the lyrical flow of it and didn't even bother consulting Dez, who was forced to change it once the song got released.
Even though Prince wrote and performed the instrumentation on the track, he was not credited. The B-side for the single was the cult classic Grace, which featured a fake interview with Morris Day over an instrumental loop from 777-9311. But her name was not Grace.

ICE brutally detain 2 U.S. citizen teens—driving to hand in papers to join Marines.
Now changing their minds about enlisting.
"How can I serve a country that doesn't even uphold my basic rights?"
Agents shot them with pepper spray—then punched them in the face.
Just because they stopped to film an ICE operation arresting parents outside of a school.
They were locked up for 8 hours—despite having proof they were U.S. citizens.
Agent told them:
"I don't give a damn... your parents can't help you now."
Incident occurred near Santos Livas Elementary School in Alamo, Texas.

Not my main hobbyhorse, but perhaps the central problem of Young Earth Creationism (even deeper than the myriad scientific problems) is that is a claim about the character of God. The deity of YEC is fundamentally a trickster god who created a universe we cannot understand. Radioactive decay is lying to us; the light from stars travel pretended journeys from the depths of time; the geology of our own planet has no consistent logic—nothing can be trusted to be intelligible, and even our own epistemological tools are incapable of understanding our world. This might be what Loki or Descartes’ demiurge would have done, but not the God of the Bible who took on human flesh to inhabit and know his own creation. Anyways, just wanted to point that out.
