More good news for $RLUSD this week - @moodysratings has assigned RLUSD an A2 long-term rating and P-1 short-term rating, the highest possible short-term rating under its new stablecoin framework.
TL;DR: RLUSD is the first stablecoin to have ever received an investment-grade Moody’s rating. This is one of the most respected independent credit rating agencies in the world, and a massive validation of the quality, transparency and institutional-grade infrastructure behind RLUSD.
Moody’s assessed everything from the credit quality and liquidity of @Ripple’s reserves to redemption arrangements, custody relationships, regulatory oversight, and operational controls in their rigorous methodology.
As RLUSD continues to grow, this kind of independent validation matters more than ever. Moody’s has helped set the standard for assessing credit quality and risk across traditional finance for decades, and bringing that same level of assessment to stablecoins themselves is a major step forward for the industry.
Proud to see RLUSD helping set a new benchmark for institutional trust in stablecoins. ratings.moodys.com/ratings-n…
Julie Gerdeman, who works on payments, digital assets and enterprise infrastructure at BNY, is leading the next venture with Ripple and C2FO on the XRP Ledger.
The use case is simple. A buyer has approved the invoice and is ready to pay, yet the supplier waits months and the pool of investors who can touch the asset stays small.
Putting that receivable on the XRPL widens who can reach it. What do you think happens to trade finance once access opens up?
Tokenizing an asset is only the first step. True market efficiency requires institutional clearing.
By combining XRPL’s native settlement with Yellow's off-chain clearing infrastructure, we are building the foundation for active, high-velocity digital asset markets.
Launched in 2012, the XRP Ledger was designed to address a fundamental challenge in finance: transferring value reliably without the delays and costs of traditional payment infrastructure.
Over the years, XRPL has evolved far beyond a payment network. Its native decentralized exchange allows assets issued on the network to be traded directly within its infrastructure, creating a foundation for financial applications that leverage the protocol's native capabilities.
This becomes particularly important as financial instruments move onchain. Tokenized securities, credit products and other real-world assets need more than a digital representation. They require infrastructure that supports the entire lifecycle of an asset, from issuance and trading to the settlement of obligations between counterparties.
In traditional markets, these functions are distributed across multiple intermediaries, each responsible for a different stage of the process. Moving assets onchain creates an opportunity to rethink how these layers interact and how capital can be deployed more efficiently across financial operations.
This is where clearing becomes essential. Rather than treating each trade in isolation, clearing consolidates obligations between counterparties, allowing net balances to be determined before final settlement.
Yellow Clearnet brings this mechanism to digital markets through state channels, enabling counterparties to trade offchain in real time while retaining the ability to settle the resulting obligations. The objective is to combine trading speed with more efficient management of financial obligations.
Bringing together XRPL's capabilities and Yellow Clearnet's clearing infrastructure opens the door to exploring new ways of structuring onchain financial markets. XRPL provides a native environment for asset issuance, trading and settlement, while Clearnet could complement this type of infrastructure by coordinating the obligations generated by trading between counterparties.
The opportunity goes beyond making financial operations faster or cheaper. It is about building markets where digital assets can circulate more freely, counterparties can deploy capital more efficiently, and new financial applications can grow on top of reliable settlement infrastructure.
The next stage of tokenized finance will not be defined solely by the number of assets issued, but by the ability to turn those assets into useful, tradable instruments integrated into active financial markets.
This morning we announced C2FO Instant Pay™, built with @Ripple . Early payment only helps when the money arrives. Instant Pay settles on XRPL using RLUSD, so suppliers get funds in minutes.
Same invoice terms. Same due dates. Learn More: c2fo.com/newsroom/c2fo-and-r…
#InstantPay
Trade finance keeps global commerce moving. Ripple and @C2FO are bringing it onto the @XRP Ledger: on.ripple.com/4iH2uBY
Businesses can wait 30, 60 or 90 days to get paid. Even early payments can take days to arrive through bank settlement.
Together, we’re bringing financing and settlement supporting C2FO Instant Pay™ onto XRPL, using RLUSD for settlement to help suppliers receive funds in seconds.
That connects XRPL and RLUSD to an established working-capital marketplace, helping businesses access money sooner for payroll, inventory and new orders.

Final OCC approval for Ripple National Trust Bank is the result of a simple choice we made years ago: build within the regulatory perimeter, not around it.
Clear rules + rigorous oversight create trust. And trust is what allows new financial infrastructure to scale.
Big news heading into @RippleSwell: the @USOCC has granted final approval for Ripple National Trust Bank.
This gives Ripple a federally supervised platform to support $RLUSD and provide digital asset custody to enterprises.
We’ve always said crypto and banks work better together — this is what that looks like. Real innovation, real accountability, federal oversight.
The revolution isn't happening outside the system. It's happening from within it.

New investment into the XRP Ledger from Aviva Investors! 🥳
They're investing $66m into their new Money Market Fund that will copy what their first USD-based token already did.
Again on the XRPL. Although not mentioned, very likely MPT-based, since they're working with Licuido on this.
For XRP this would mean that as soon as the MPT DEX integration feature is live, Aviva could built up direct liquidity for XRP to further strengthen the "autobridge" use case.
For this, they would need to pay market makers.
These market makers would then hold XRP in their inventory to do professional market making within a permissioned DEX environment.
At least that's the theory.
The more tokenization, the better. 💪
Big news as Aviva Investors announces the launch of a tokenized share class of the Aviva Investors Sterling (GBP) Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger.
The Sterling (GBP) Liquidity Fund is Aviva Investors’ largest fund at around £22 billion in assets under management, and this move marks an expansion of Aviva Investors’ tokenised fund offering, following the launch of its tokenized USD Liquidity Fund in July.
Investors receive the same protections as those in the conventional fund, which was initially launched in 2002.
Markets are moving to 24/7 access and real-time settlement. This is what that looks like in practice.

Great news for the XRPL. Aviva now has a tokenised Sterling Liquidity Fund and it is available on the XRP Ledger (XRPL).
The “ghostchain” 🤣strikes again. 👏 👏

Things look super stable again
Thanks @angell_denis @msvadari @Vet_X0 and everyone involved, and all XRPL validator operators for their quick and coordinated action to get the XRPL back on track 🤗

Xrpl is flapping; going on and off, not closing ledgers at times (globally)
Worst day in cybersecurity. Government organizations and large companies stepping forward pushing to patch major vulnerabilities AI is uncovering.
We are talking about services and stack a big part of the whole internet is relying on, and the avalanche is still on going.
I remember when people few weeks ago were like, how did you guys not find this issue on when "even" (lmao) AI found it.
Ultimately it will lead to a lot more secure software on the other side, but until then.
Welcome to the AI acceleration.

A little over a year ago, Ripple announced its expansion into the Kingdom of Bahrain. Last week, I was back in the Kingdom for FIntech Forward where we hosted an after hours event with @FinTechBay & @TheMENAFintech
Bahrain was one of the first countries to regulate crypto assets, and that early clarity is paying off.
This year’s theme was finance in the age of intelligent infrastructure, and the discussion was refreshingly practical: how institutions deploy blockchain-based infrastructure at scale, and what regulators and industry need to get right to make that happen.
Clear rules attract institutions, and institutions attract the builders who create the next layer on top. Bahrain has understood that for a long time.
Thanks to everyone who came to our event and I look forward to spending more time in the Kingdom as our business there grows.

I've repeatedly stated that your facts are correct but your conclusion about the bridge currecy thesis is a Straw Man. If you cannot differentiate between challenging your facts vs challenging a conclusion, calling it "dancing around", you're either not mentally equipped for debate or you're being intentionally disingenuous. Calling out your poor reasoning does not require research. It only requires skill in logic and reason. There is no guesswork.

Its ok if its AI Slop. I'll still judge it on its merit...
Settlement Centers on RLUSD, Not XRP:
- Strawman: Nobody has ever claimed USD to USD stablecoins would need to settle using XRP.
Erosion of XRP’s Core Bridge Currency Thesis:
- Non sequitur: Again USD to USD stablecoin transactions don't require a bridge currency. So how is this erosion of the Bridge Currency thesis?
Immaterial Token Burn and Fee Mechanics:
- Cool story ChatGPT, but nobody serious claims the burn rate will have any significant impact on XRP price. If they do, they're likely retarded.
Value Accrues to Ripple Labs, Not XRP Holders:
- Sure. This is Ripples deal. But any use of the XRPL makes the XRPL more valuable and useful. Will this single integration bring measurable value? I kinda doubt it. But I do look forward to the network effects in the late innings of adoption.
Complete Backend Abstraction for End Users:
- Again, network effect is where it will matter. RLUSD, RLJPY, RLPHP, RUAUD.
Limited Scope and Phased Rollout:
- Another cool story. Funny how ChatGPT bashes the "bridge currency" thesis while also here admitting its a US district only, an environment where a bridge currency would never be needed.

Also, I didn't hear back from you on my last reply addressing your concerns. Are you here seeking to cast shade or are you actually interested to learn and understand?

Most of these narratives operate on a spectrum from reasonable to unreasonable. In the past, I have duscussed ISO20022 as a significant step towards the digital financial system and a catalyst for global coordination towards an end. I think that is a reasonable and defensible claim. And I think such reasoning is healthy in trying to understand the direction of the global system. But those that claimed dates for ISO implementation were going to be "flip the switch" moments, were on the unreasonable end of the speculative narrative. But overall, I think you have pointed out many unreasonable narratives here.
One thing I would push back on...
"stables and atomic settlement has solves what XRP was supposed to"
Stablecoins are Commercial Bank liabilities or Liabilities of the issuing entity. Atomic settlement of those liabilities can happen easily within a Banks single-currency walled ledger without ever needing a bridge. When settling Commercial Bank to Commercial Bank on desperate ledgers across differing currencies, settlement becomes more complicated. Atomic Settlement solves orchestration, it does not solve liquidity. Burn & Mint is one solution. A bridge currency is another solution. I believe these systems will compete as they scale and what is considered "adoption" today may not nessisarily be what provides the best solution tomorrow. Time will tell.
Also, ultimate settlement is NOT done in Commercial Bank liabilities but rather Central Bank sovereign funds(base money) on Central Banks ledgers. Central Banks, for the most part, have yet to converge on a solution to connect their RTGS or CBDC systems. Such systems cannot be connected with private liabilities of Commercial Banks. So one must ask "What systems are best suited to move the value of base money?" "What protocol governance structures would suit sovereign fund settlement and what governance structures would be entirely unfit for the job?"
The discussion here is very complex, nuanced and philisophical.
I don't believe XRP is "supposed" to do anything. But I do believe that the protocol itself offers efficiency to compete in Commercial Bank solutions while also offering a governance structure that can appeal to Central Banks needs.
