The kiosk demo of Mario Kart DS contained "Flesh Trucks" due to a spelling error. While the error was fixed in the final version, looking at the preview image for GCN Mushroom Bridge very closely shows that the truck still has an L. As such, the memory of the Flesh Truck remains.

The first level of the Space Zone in Super Mario Land 2 contains a hidden message in the sky that spells "HAPPY". Normally, it can only be seen in a level editor. By modifying the game to let Mario fly, we can actually see the message in-game.

GAMING THINGS WE THINK ARE COOL!! - In the Saturn, PC and Dreamcast ports of Virtua Cop 2, the drumset in File 2 reads S.S.T - a nod to Sega Sound Team Band, Sega's in-house band who had disbanded a few years prior.

In Super Mario World, the rotating wheel in the Reznor boss battle has writing on it that reads "Reznor". However, development files for the game contain an early version of it that read "KILL YOU" instead.

When grabbing screenshots for my little guest characters page, I was really surprised at some of the Sega games represented in the '80s and '90s Boulevard stages in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity. Phantasy Star and Fantasy Zone are obvious, but Puzzle & Action and Jewel Master? Nice!

Finished an article on Continental Circus. Features an early appearance by the modern Taito logo, unused text, a plethora of unused graphics, and, most important of all, billboards. Lots and lots of billboards.
