2010: Working in a nightclub toilet after school.
2018: Working on Europe's biggest infrastructure project at the time.
2026: Inspiring post-16 students to believe in their potential.
I still remember how devastated I was when I lost that nightclub job.
It meant everything to me at the time.
I cried because I couldn't see what would come next.
If you are going through a difficult chapter right now, please keep going.
You have not seen everything your life has to offer.
One day, you will look back at the very things making you cry today and be thankful you didn't give up.

Imagine using a Nigerian passport to travel out of the country, only to turn around and call that same passport useless. If it’s so useless, how did you use it to get there?
Some of you will acquire permanent residency abroad and start talking down on Nigeria as if you’ve suddenly become citizens by birth of those countries. You’re still Black, and no matter how long you live abroad, some people will still see you as a foreigner. Having permanent residency doesn’t automatically make you an indigenous citizen.
There’s nothing wrong with wanting a better life abroad. There’s nothing wrong with celebrating your achievements. But why must you constantly disrespect your country to prove that you’ve made it?
The same Nigerian passport you’re mocking has taken people to different parts of the world. Yes, Nigeria has its problems, and we’re allowed to criticise them. But there’s a difference between demanding better from your country and constantly ridiculing it for social media validation.
Travel abroad, build your life, get your residency and enjoy your achievements. But you don’t have to rubbish Nigeria to prove you’ve made it.

Four Catholic nuns of the Missionaries of Charity were brutally mur*dered by gunmen on March 4, 2016, in Aden, Yemen, while serving the elderly and vulnerable. The Pope honored them as “martyrs of charity.”

Welcome to the UK, where Selfridges sells no fridges, Boots sells no boots, and Superdrug is not a drugstore .
Curry’s sells no curry, COS has nothing to do with offering COS, Mango doesn’t sell mangoes, and Subway has nothing to do with underground trains.
