As a student I wasn't given extra time in an exam in my first year (I'm dyslexic) I can't remember their excuse why, but they said if you fail, you can just do it again.

Patients should only be in hospital if really needed. 1 week in bed equates to a 20% loss of quad power and 10% loss of aerobic capacity. It’s important for individuals and also increasingly important to allow the whole system to function, and keep all hospital patients safe.
