Today, the Roger Casement Commemoration & Re-interment Association have submitted a formal application to Dublin City Council and Glasnevin Cemetery requesting an Exhumation licence to re-inter Roger Casement at Murlough Bay. This application is supported by Roger Casement’s family and is made in order to fulfil the wish of Roger Casement to be laid to rest in Murlough Bay, Co Antrim. Tonight, the Association gathered at the Casement Social Club in Belfast alongside their legal team Phoenix Law solicitors, O'Neill's Funeral Directors and Patrick McCarry who agreed to allow the burial on his ground.

This is probably the single best Two minute clip I have seen in a long time. Anderson Cooper, who is gay, making fun of how gay Donald Trump is. And I will repeat. There’s nothing wrong with being gay. The problem is hypocrisy.

Sunday: the Business Post hands an infamously anti-union businessman a platform. Sunday evening: the Irish Times leads with the Taoiseach responding to him. One interview, two front pages, zero relevance. Politicians and media in a sealed bubble, talking to each other.

You just can’t let him get away with stuff like this. The stock trades, the Emirati investment in the crypto company, the sons’ getting government contracts, the pardons to people who donated to him, his net worth going up billions in his first year in office. Come on!
JD Vance: "I've not seen a single shred of evidence that Donald Trump participates or sanctions in that corruption ... I've not once seen evidence that Donald Trump has enriched himself"

Leave @olivercallan alone. Callan's Kicks is a rare independent angle on RTÉ. It's almost the only voice in there for appropriate anger and doesn't even evince particular party-political biases. independent.ie/irish-news/po…

'The ruling will not affect the IAA’s recent decision to add 28 new take off and landing slots at Dublin for next summer'. Who told Barry O'Halloran that? Seems too categorical for serious journalism. irishtimes.com/business/2026…

Patrick O'Donovan is a poor politician but he deserves sympathy for his health problems. We're going to make a study of which of his party colleagues dissed him as there seems to be some repeated decency/leak problems among one or two of them in particular... irishtimes.com/politics/2026…

Good the US President has done this, and it shows Hegseth is an even worse human being than he is, but tellingly Trump clearly has no idea why it would have been a sick idea. nytimes.com/2026/10/15/us/tr…

The antithesis of @realdonaldtrump is a tree (or perhaps an angel). 'Reyes summarized her concerns about the project’s speed and lack of scrutiny in a blistering passage early in her ruling. “Breakneck speed to clear trees that posed no harm,” she wrote. “The reason? Disputed. The budget? Unclear. The environmental impact? Unstudied. The urgency? None. Next steps: bulldoze hundreds more”'. washingtonpost.com/sports/20…
