We've been focusing on the 'epidemiology' side of things lately, but made a showreel to remind us why. Enjoy! vimeo.com/203751995

We used whole genome sequencing from a population-based cohort and 2 decades of clinical encounter data to identify nosocomial transmission of #tuberculosis in Botswana: odds were over 6x in rural vs urban facilities. Read more @AmJEpi #EndTB #StopTB #TB academic.oup.com/aje/advance…

Interested in #TB transmission dynamics? Our new systematic analysis quantifying #TB transmission is out in @AmJEpi - we found most TB is spread by a minority of cases across global settings @davidwdowdy @neelrgandhi @ted_h_cohen @soustha @Emory_TB_Center academic.oup.com/aje/advance…

From an epidemiologist at Yale: “This enemy that we are facing is very good at what it does; we are not failing. We need everyone to hold the line as the epidemic inevitably gets worse. This is not my opinion; this is the unforgiving math of epidemics.” #StayAtHomeSaveLives

Social distancing might not feel like it's working (because cases and deaths will rise, and continue to rise), but it is. HOLD THE LINE, says epidemiologist Jonathan Smith, aka @VisEpiProject medium.com/@jpsmithalt/hold-…

Also amazed how the students @Yale @VisEpiProject bring complicated issues like #UHC and people-centered primary healthcare to life.
