The violence may happen behind a screen. The consequences can follow someone into their home, workplace, school and community.
Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV) includes online harassment, threats, cyberstalking, doxxing, impersonation and image-based abuse. It can undermine safety, dignity, wellbeing and participation.
Kenyaโs latest MASS data estimates that 37.04% of respondents have experienced TFGBV in their lifetime, yet only 13.16% reported to authorities.
The Commission is committed to strengthening awareness, prevention, stakeholder coordination, monitoring and advocacy for safer digital spaces.
Digital violence is real violence. It deserves a real response.

Since the passage of the Persons with Disabilities Act, 2025, my office continues to receive countless reports from persons with disabilities and their families whose rights are still being violated, but who often lack the legal support needed to seek redress. That has to change.
We are now laying the foundation for a sustainable framework that will strengthen legal aid, establish clear referral pathways, promote public legal advocacy, support strategic litigation, build Advocateโs capacity, and drive the full implementation of the Act. We're also working towards dedicated legal aid clinics and innovative outreach to ensure no PWD is left behind.
