This is incredibly sad news. Claire was such a lovely woman.
Condolences to her family and friends. Thinking of everyone who knew her at this very sad time.
Rest peacefully, Claire xx
ANNOUNCEMENT
It’s with heavy hearts that WRN announce the death of one of our own, the truly fabulous Claire Loneragan.
Claire was a fundamental part of WRN since its inception and had been key to the growth and the success of our organisation. She is irreplaceable as a WRNer and as a Director. Most importantly though, as a dear friend. We will miss her immensely.
We know that all our WRN members will feel her loss deeply, not least her ‘home’ group of Somerset and Dorset.
We send our sincere heartfelt sympathies to her husband Dave, her children, her wider family, and her many friends.
Claire had been ill for some time but maintained her typical good humour, courage (and not a small amount of ice cream) throughout.
When we have needed wisdom, hard work and application, Claire had provided these in abundance. Her hand was in everything that we did. And we all endeavoured to ‘Be More Claire’ as a result.
But more importantly than that, she was always our dear friend.
Goodbye Claire.
We love you so much xx
A powerful update from @jk_rowling, who continues to stand up for women’s rights.
“If a man can be a woman, there is no such thing as a woman.”
And this is why women must never stop defending our rights, our safety and our single-sex spaces.
Thank you @jk_rowling 💚🤍💜
I wrote a new piece about women’s rights and whether or not I want trans people dead. (Spoiler: I don’t)👇

It’s going to be an amazing day 🎉
What are women to do when faced with a 'transwoman' in the ladies?
Can you film him? Kick him out? And if service providers would rather break the law than upset the men with the magical lady feelz, do women even have a leg to stand on?
Interview with @akuareindorf (Part 1) goes live this eve at 21:00 Terf Island o'clock!

We believe clear, sex-specific language is essential to safeguarding and safe healthcare for women, men and children, ensuring that biological differences, risks and needs are properly recognised and understood.

It’s taken the NHS 18 months after the Supreme Court ruling to finally stop men from being placed on female wards. The law was clear. Why did it take so long?
Trans women will finally be banned from female wards in hospitals under new NHS guidance.
Hospitals have been told that wards, lavatories and changing rooms should be segregated by biological sex, not gender identity ⤵️

It was never about third spaces or compromise. These men want to be in women's spaces & if they can't, they will destroy them.
