We have written to @AmnestyUK @amnesty @AmnestyScotland about the report which defamed our organisation and others.

🚨 BREAKING: A male NHS nurse says he’s received four nominations for awards that celebrate women working in healthcare - including ‘Women’s Champion of the Year’.
Jia Palis Amada said being “embraced as a woman” was already an award in itself.
The awards are organised by emap - in association with Nursing Times.
Helen Joyce of Sex Matters called the nominations “deeply insulting” to women.

"Ms Sturgeon cuts a rather pathetic figure these days. She knows the history books will record her as the First Minister who tried to destroy women's rights in law, but she's so desperate for attention that she has to resort to trying to rile the Scottish women she betrayed. This latest attempt to grab any publicity, however negative, is best met with a weary sigh and an eye-roll."

Good to see a gay member of the Irish parliament call out this utter nonsense from gender ideology addled fools.
"And so I’ll continue to speak out, continue to use my money to help women who otherwise couldn’t afford to go to court, and continue to ensure that women in my area can still access female-delivered, female-centred support after rape."
Thank you, @jk_rowling
I wrote a new piece about women’s rights and whether or not I want trans people dead. (Spoiler: I don’t)👇

If a builder, a baker, or any independent business owner publicly declared that the profits from their work were going directly to a proscribed terrorist organisation, the legal fallout wouldn't be viewed as "censorship" or a restriction on their craft.
We'd like to thank Mike Corbett & @NASUWT_Scotland for the stream of sexist, abusive posts received on BlueSky in the wake of him reposting a lie that we wanted people to drown in the channel. He will have seen these two as they are on his thread.

With a lot of disputes now around any limits to free speech, conduct etc, so many responses are based on whether one's views align with the person at the core of the issue. Those commenting should also provide their view on the same issue as if it was their political opponent

This is an interesting idea. What's special about sex characteristics that our culture thinks its ok to destroy or maim them?
This week a friend asked me: “If teen girls were caught up in a culture-bound mass psychosis, wishing to have their healthy eyes surgically removed, would we still be debating it? Or would we have stopped it right away?”
I think it shows our Puritan roots still haunt us. Human sexuality remains the great taboo. We can remove or damage a young person’s capacity for sexual function, and the people who object are the ones accused of being “fixated on genitals.” Naming the loss is treated as more shameful than causing it.

A final update on the case of @FayeRCTribunal. 4 years of grievances, internal process and litigation. Praise for Faye who prevailed & achieved so much for the benefit of women in the workplace. Credit to @LoudBonnet who is a maestra in this domain.

Or perhaps the Scotland we have of present, where rape survivors are threatened with arrest if they speak of their experiences of abuse publicly.

I wonder what happened to this guy. Safe to say he wasn't invited back! 😡 In 2021, at the height of the collective insanity that passed for our Covid response, Scotland reportedly recorded twice as many drug deaths as Covid deaths among the under-65s.
We shut down society, suspended ordinary life and surrendered basic freedoms in the name of saving lives, while other public health catastrophes continued in plain sight.
Apparently, some lives warranted extraordinary measures. Others barely warranted a headline.
I would argue that the damage inflicted on the health, wealth and wellbeing of our nation by those policies was of historic proportions. Lost livelihoods, disrupted education, untreated illnesses, mounting debt and consequences we are still living with today.
And yet, remarkably, we have barely begun to reckon honestly with the full human, social and economic cost of those decisions, let alone hold anyone accountable for them.

The same should apply to pronouns in emails.
I apply this prohibition to myself. It’s tempting to have a gender critical email signature, but I am able to see that doing this risks alienating the recipient. If they are a student, that’s out of order. 1/2 telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/10…

This is why I give a side-eye to everyone who blithely blames 'suicidal empathy' for the West's woes. It's simplistic, and all too often is just an excuse to blame white women. It's the right's version of the 'Karen.'
